If you are energized by solving complex problems, collaborating across disciplines, and making a real difference in the workplace services industry, you will find your place here.\nIn this role, you will help build a critical part of Schwab’s growth in the Workplace market by designing and building scalable platforms supporting critical workplace applications, including Equity Administration, PCRA, and Retirement Plan Services for millions of participants. You will drive modernization initiatives, including API and foundational system improvements that enable faster, safer integration and partnerships, improve platform stability, performance, and resilience, and modernize legacy components to address risk remediation and compliance needs. You will also leverage AI to innovate processes and outcomes while serving as a collaborative technology partner who influences solutions and business outcomes.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\n2+ years of progressive experience in software development and engineering, including hands-on coding and solution design.\nExposure to modernization initiatives, such as API development, microservices architecture, or cloud-native platforms.\nExperience working in Agile/SAFe environments, participating in Scrum teams and iterative delivery.\nWorking knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation for improving delivery efficiency.\nAbility to collaborate with stakeholders and align technical solutions with business objectives.\nSolid understanding of API design and integration, microservices, and distributed systems.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).\nBasic understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and platform health.\nProficiency with .NET Core /.NET 6+ for building scalable applications.\nProficiency in C# as a primary programming language.\nExperience developing web services and RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core.\nExperience using Entity Framework Core for ORM and data access.\nExperience with relational databases, preferably SQL Server.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.\nPreferred Qualifications\n2+ years of progressive experience in software development and engineering, including hands-on coding and solution design.\n1+ years of experience in technical leadership or team lead roles, guiding engineers and contributing to enterprise-scale solutions.\nExperience contributing to modernization projects, such as API development, microservices, or cloud migration.\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).\nExperience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.\nWorking knowledge of security best practices and performance tuning for scalable applications.\nAdvanced proficiency with .NET Core /.NET 6+, C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server.\nExperience working within Agile/SAFe methodologies and collaborative team environments.\nGoogle Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification.\nGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification, or active pursuit of certification.\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
