Within this organization, the Web Trading team delivers online brokerage capabilities that help Schwab Financial Advisors manage trading activities for their clients.\nAs a Staff Software Engineer, you will design and develop reliable, scalable, and responsive web applications using full-stack technologies. You will collaborate across scrum teams to solve complex technical problems, improve system performance, and deliver features that strengthen the advisor trading experience. You will also lead maintenance and enhancement efforts, identify opportunities for automation and usability improvements, and support sound technical decisions. Success requires adaptability, thoughtful problem-solving, and a commitment to quality, security, compliance, and collaborative delivery.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\n4+ years of full-stack application development experience\nExperience developing web applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS or SCSS, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and JSON or XML\nExperience designing and integrating SOAP and RESTful APIs\nExperience working with relational databases such as SQL or Oracle and document databases such as MongoDB\nExperience with unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, secure coding, and application deployment\nExperience designing, building, and supporting reliable front-end and back-end solutions\nAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate across technical and business teams\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent experience\nExperience with cloud-based microservices, private cloud environments, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry\nExperience with continuous integration and continuous deployment, automated testing, and deployment pipelines\nExperience with GitHub, Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence\nExperience leading application maintenance, refactoring, performance, usability, or automation initiatives\nKnowledge of trading concepts, including order placement, block trades, positions, allocations, order statuses, or rebalancing\nExperience developing real-time trading applications\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and make effective decisions in a collaborative agile environment\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
