As a Software Developer IV, you’ll design and build scalable applications and services and drive modernization initiatives that strengthen platform security, stability, performance, and resilience to reduce risk and deliver seamless user experiences at scale.\nYou’ll apply deep full-stack development expertise to solve complex technical problems, influence application and architecture decisions, and deliver secure, reliable solutions. Working collaboratively across technology and business partners, you’ll evaluate tradeoffs, communicate recommendations, mentor teammates, and adapt as priorities and technologies evolve. Your work will directly contribute to modernizing platforms that support Schwab’s continued growth in workplace financial services.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications:\nBA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent\n8+ years of full-stack web development experience\nExperience with C#/.NET Core development \nDesigns enterprise-level services, systems, and architecture patterns, including working knowledge of Domain Driven Design.\nExperience creating and consuming REST APIs\nResponsive Design and Single Page Applications (SPA) expertise\nExperience with Angular, TypeScript, and client-side MV* frameworks\nExperience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS\nKnowledge of authorization frameworks (e.g., OAuth 2, SAML, JWT)\nExperience with SQL and Relational Databases, including integration between backend services and databases\nExperience evaluating and improving application performance, scalability, and resilience\nAbility to apply Problem Solving and Decision Making to complex application, performance, stability, and modernization challenges\nStrong Communication and Collaboration skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts and influence decisions across organizational levels\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with accessibility practices for web applications\nExperience with Unit Testing and test-driven or behavior-driven development practices\nAbility to demonstrate Adaptability and Continuous Learning as technologies, business needs, and delivery priorities evolve\nExperience mentoring teammates and contributing to collaborative technical decision-making\nUnderstanding of Agile software development principles, including experience participating in a Scrum-based delivery team\nA commitment to regularly improving your technical and professional skills, learning emerging technologies and growing as valued team member\nAn advocate and evangelist for availability, scaling, performance, and customer experience.\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
