Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.\nWhat you have\nStrategic Leadership and Global Partnership\nIndia Site Leadership: Establish and lead thinkorswim Technology's first India footprint, including operating model, organization design, and phased scaling plans up to 50 professionals. \nEnterprise Alignment: Serve as the primary India liaison across product, architecture, operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure clear priorities, transparency, and cross-functional alignment. \nTechnical Domain Representation: Adequately understand and communicate key technical concepts in order management and trading to technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nDelivery Execution and Operational Excellence\nEnd-to-End Delivery Ownership: Lead end-to-end delivery for specific modules in the TOS ecosystem, ensuring predictability across scope, timeline and quality \nEngineering Excellence: Drive modern SDLC practices, CI/CD discipline, observability, release governance, and reliability engineering for sustainable throughput. \nRisk and Controls: Ensure adherence to security, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements within a regulated financial-services environment. \nTalent and Organization Development\nTalent Strategy: Build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering leaders and teams; implement hiring, onboarding, and succession strategies. \nLeadership Development: Coach managers and technical leaders; establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and growth pathways. \nCulture and Engagement: Foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture grounded in collaboration, ownership, and client-focused outcomes\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. \n15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology delivery, including 10+ years in people leadership roles. \nDemonstrated experience in a large, global Financial Services organization. \nProven software delivery leadership in highly connected ecosystems with multiple dependencies across platforms and teams. \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting and influence in a matrixed environment. \nTechnical and Domain Qualifications\nExperience with event-driven integration patterns such as asynchronous messaging, pub/sub architectures, and inter-system communication using APIs, queues, or messaging middleware. Java experience is strongly preferred. \nPractical knowledge of distributed systems, including high-availability design, resiliency patterns, and dependency management across tightly integrated platforms. \nFundamental understanding of equities and options trading, including order lifecycle, market data, and operational dependencies. \nExperience working in regulated environments where auditability, resiliency, and control effectiveness are critical.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
