Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.\nWhat you have\nKey Responsibilities:\nAs a Senior Manager (People Leader), you will leverage your strong team leadership skills and the ability to hire, guide, and grow exceptional technology teams. you’ll be responsible for leading a several scrum teams of talented engineers in delivering and supporting critical, highly available solutions.You are visible leader that thrives on developing and motivating future technology leaders.\nYou will also build and maintain strong partnerships with product and other technology teams. You’ll exercise your expertise with enterprise IT operations practices, high availability systems, and people leadership to deliver leading edge technologies.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline\n15+ total years of experience in the software industry\n5+ years of people management experience managingengineering teams\n5+ yearsofexperience running medium to large/complex IT projects with multiple internal and external dependencies\nExperience managing 3-4 scrum teams\nDemonstrated success in the ability to hire, lead, and grow exceptional technology talent\nAbility to manage individual engineer performance through coaching and providingdirect, timely feedback\nProficient managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment\nAbility to analyze, propose, and implement timely, cost-effective solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility\nStrong influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify stakeholders, assess their needs, and manage their expectations through effective communication\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to compose and deliver technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various levels of technical and non-technical leadership)\nPrevious hands-on software development experience\nDeep understanding of SDLC and agile software development methodologies\nExperience with critical, highly-available systems\nExperience providing operational support for critical applications\nMust be a Self-starter; takes initiative and can work independently\nStrong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills\nWell-organized and disciplined with high attention to detail\nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of cloud computing solutions, especially on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\nKnowledge of Java and/or .Net development tools and practices is a plus, as well as the Atlassian suite of tools\nAbility to participate in engineering practices such as design reviews, code reviews, risk management, etc.\nExperience with high-volume data systems and ETL preferred\nExperience in the Financial Services Industry a plus\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
