Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region\nThe role based in Schwab India, part of our Global Capability Center in Hyderabad will be part of Schwab Asset Management Technology (SAM Tech) which is part of Schwab Technology Services (STS). SAM Tech is aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM) and the broader Schwab organization. The suite of platforms delivers scalable front, middle and back-office capabilities across Advisor Services (AS) and Investor Services (IS), including Alternatives and third-party Insurance and Annuities.\nThe role will be an integral member of SAM Tech that is responsible for developing solutions that support Middle Office & Operations. In addition, the role will support the ongoing growth, modernization, and scalability of the various SAM Tech Platforms. The role will report to locally in Hyderabad in India.\nWhat you have\nKey Responsibilities\nThis role based in Hyderabad, India will provide technical and people leadership, to support the overall strategy of SAM Tech and Schwab Asset Management, spearheading our buildout in the Global Capability Center. They will be responsible for building and managing an India based team of Developers, SDET, QA etc. as we build out these key skillsets over the coming years. This would include firsthand development, mentoring team members whilst driving team performance in a collaborate manner with their US based colleagues to achieve overall team success. They will work both strategically and creatively to drive both the success of the domain as well as the ongoing strategy to improve and build out the India based teams.\nThey will be a key driver in the implementation and integration of modern applications that support the overall business capabilities and build highly scalable applications that enable future business growth. In addition to being a strong technical leader, part of the role will involve mentoring developers and collaborating across multiple teams and internal organizations.\nExcellent leadership and people skills with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing people.\nEffective communication skills, with exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.\nProven leadership and people skills with experience of building and leading technology teams.\nAbility to work effectively within the Agile Scrum framework to inspire and motivate all levels of staff towards both tactical and strategic delivery goals.\nA university degree from a well-respected academic institution, and/or other professional certifications are a plus.\nKnowledge of Asset Management including Front Office, Middle Office, Data & Distribution.\nAt least 5 years’ experience developing enterprise class applications using .NET and C#, particularly distributed and Cloud applications.\nFull stack development experience including C#, SQL, HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, etc. \nWorking knowledge of SOLID principles, 12-Factor App, and design patterns.\nAt least 5 years of experience working in Agile Scrum.\nStrong ability to design, code, and debug applications in various software languages.\nProven record of delivering technology solutions within agreed timeframes.\nPreffered Qualifications\nA commitment to high ethical standards and integrity, demonstrated through action.\nHigh-energy, positive, entrepreneurial in spirit.\nPurposeful and results driven.\nWell-organized and disciplined with high mindfulness.\nDirect, plain-spoken; conveys a genuine and authentic demeanor.\nConsiderable experience transforming teams through technology, organization, culture, process, and business change management.\nAbility to work effectively within the Agile Scrum framework to inspire and motivate all levels of staff towards both tactical and strategic delivery goals.\nOutstanding performer, persistent and pro-active leader, detailed oriented, and driven to exceed expectations.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
