Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region\nWhat you have\nRole Description\nThis position provides an exciting opportunity to build production-ready dashboards, applications, and automated workflows using some of the organization’s most important analytics technologies. \nYou will strengthen your expertise in Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, Power Automate, data analysis, data modeling, and SQL while contributing to visible business initiatives. You will work with experienced engineers and business partners to transform requirements and data into intuitive, reliable analytical solutions. \nThe role offers meaningful ownership of moderately complex development assignments and opportunities to participate throughout the complete solution-delivery lifecycle. Through hands-on delivery, technical collaboration, and continuous learning, you will build the capabilities needed to progress into broader BI engineering and solution-leadership responsibilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop Power BI reports, Tableau dashboards, Power Apps applications, and Power Automate workflows based on approved requirements and solution designs.\nAnalyze source data, business rules, data relationships, existing report logic, and user requirements to support solution development.\nWrite and optimize intermediate-to-advanced SQL queries, joins, aggregations, views, transformations, and validation scripts.\nSupport in the development and maintenance of reusable semantic models, governed data sources, standard metrics, and documented business definitions.\nPerform unit testing, data reconciliation, defect correction, performance tuning, peer reviews, and deployment-readiness activities.\nCollaborate with BI engineers, product owners, data engineers, platform teams, and business users to resolve requirements and technical issues.\nManage assigned development and support tasks, communicating progress, dependencies, risks, and proposed solutions to the workstream lead.\nMaintain technical documentation, solution specifications, data mappings, support procedures, release evidence, and user guidance.\nRequired Qualifications\n3-5 years of hands-on experience developing production-grade Power BI reports and Tableau dashboards, including semantic models and published data sources.\nIntermediate-to-advanced SQL skills - complex joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and stored procedures.\nProven experience building Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven) to support business processes.\nExperience designing and deploying Power Automate workflows that integrate multiple systems and connectors.\nWorking knowledge of data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling) applied to BI semantic layers.\nExperience performing unit testing, data reconciliation, and defect triage for BI deliverables.\nDemonstrated ability to partner directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nBachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent experience, with a demonstrated BI delivery track record\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience contributing to Tableau-to-Power BI migration or conversion projects.\nDAX optimization and Power BI report/semantic-model performance-tuning experience.\nExposure to Power Platform governance practices (DLP policies, environments, CoE toolkit).\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Fabric, dataflows, or other Azure data services.\nUnderstanding of Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity management.\nExperience mentoring junior developers or leading peer code/design reviews.\nRelevant certification(s) such as Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or PL-100/PL-400 (Power Platform).\nExperience using source control (Git/Azure DevOps) to manage BI and Power Platform asset\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
