Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.\nWhat you have\nRole Description:\nSupport end-to-end database delivery for multiple Agile teams.\nHands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, GCP, and Postgres with pgAdmin; and delivery Enterprise-level databases to production. \nProvide production support and participate in on-call rotation.\nWriting queries, views, stored procedures, triggers and other database objects.\nImplementing deployment standards, recommendations, operating procedures, and cost-effective solutions. \nImplement and support complex database migrations and optimization part of consolidation and technology reduction efforts.\nExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities and deliver with minimal defects\nTraining associates and offshore developers as needed\nAssist with streamlining and organizing documentation, share knowledge, ideas and concepts with the team, collaborate and truly believe in the concept of teamwork Running scrum events for the team.\nKey Responsibilities:\n5 - 6 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle and Postgres database Operations.\nOracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Foglightis a must \npgAdmin(Preferred) experience is a must.\nCloud SQL for Postgres SQL experience is a must.\nTerraform experience is a good to have.\nHave strong database development skills (Oracle, and Postgres (On-prem, and cloud) preferred, SQL Server is a plus)\nOracle and Postgres Database Administration experience. SQL Server is a plus.\nDeveloping enterprise solutions to support in areas like backup, monitoring, alerting, security compliance, and patching for Oracle, and Postgres. SQL Server is a plus.\nExperience scripting languages like Perl, and PowerShell for automation.\nExperience developing and deploying ETL processes for large data sets.\nExposure to DevOps practices and tools (e.g., GitHub, bamboo, bitbucket).\nExperience with database performance tuning tools and techniques.\nStrong ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines and be able to work under pressure during production issues.\nAbility to work independently and work well in a small team fast-paced environment.\nMust be passionate about databases, data, and helping others.\nExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities and deliver with minimal defects.\nExperience writing good documentation being detailed oriented.\nAble to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field preferred.\nExperience working with Microsoft Teams, Jira, Confluence, Remedy, Bamboo and Bitbucket are a must.\nPrior experience in Financial industry is a plus.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
