Develop technical skills in production efficiency, chemistry adjustments, product testing, and standard work while collaborating with experienced team members.\nProgram structure:\n Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer\nLocation: Shawano, WI\nStart Date: May 2027\nDuration: Summer internship\nWhat we're looking for:\nEnrollment in a four-year degree program in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.\nCumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.\nProficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal and relationship building skills.\nAbility to succeed in a team environment.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks.\nPreferred experience:\nExperience with Auto CAD and Pro-E.\nWhat You’ll Focus On:\nFocus on melt cycle optimization through standard work and tap to tap tracking.\nUnderstand and promote least cost charge, chemistry change, and adjust training with all employees to expand knowledge among hourly team members.\nParticipate in Continuous Improvement projects.\nAssist in other projects and function as a resource for other team members.\nParticipate in the fundamentals of product design and development including testing using a variety of tools and equipment.\nDocument and improve processes.\nWhat Sets Our Internship Program Apart: Work on meaningful projects while receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that help launch your career.
