We offer:\nFull time work with stable hours - Family owned business\nWeekly paychecks - Get paid every Thursday!\nBonuses - quarterly performance bonuses, referral bonuses, profit sharing bonus\n Full Benefits package - medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match up to 7%, all starting within 31 days\nPride - we make products that build, feed & defend America!\nPaid vacation time + 10 company holidays\nAll uniforms & PPE provided - yes, even your steel-toe boots!\nOur culture - we prioritize safety, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement\nGrowth opportunities - Tuition reimbursement, apprenticeship programs, professional development, GED program\nFun team events like family picnics & holiday parties\nDiscount programs - cell phones, travel, automotive, and more!\nWhat you would do:\nOperate furnace charging equipment to support steel melting operations.\nUse overhead bridge cranes to safely move and handle steel scrap.\nTransport raw materials and supplies to keep the melt deck running efficiently.\nLearn to operate induction melting furnaces and monitor the melting process.\nAssist with furnace maintenance, refractory repairs, and equipment upkeep.\nRemove and transport slag hoppers and other production materials.\nIdentify and communicate equipment issues or unusual operating conditions.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nWork closely with experienced melt operators and team leaders to support daily production goals.\nPhysical aspects of the role:\nFrequent lifting up to 50 lbs, hand use, and standing.\nOccasional carrying, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling, reaching, complex neck/spinal motion, and walking.\nMinimal climbing, lifting up to 25 lbs, and below waist level work.\nWhat you bring:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent (GEDWorks program eligible).\nAbility to read and understand instructions.\nAbility to perform basic math.\nAbility to read thermometers and record data.\nNice to have's:\nManufacturing experience in an industrial setting.\nForklift operation experience.\nCharter Casting is formerly Charter Dura-Bar\nThe entry hourly rate for this position is $25.75 per hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
