You'll develop a strong foundation in quality assurance principles and learn how to apply quality tools and practices to support continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.\nProgram Structure:\n Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.\nLocation: Shawano, WI\nStart Date: May 2027\nDuration: Summer internship\nWhat we're looking for:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related degree or a combination of education and experience.\nOne plus years’ experience in quality control or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.\nExperience in leading problem-solving efforts.\nExperience in an organization with ISO/Quality Management System Requirements - Business specific, please update at time of posting.\nDemonstrated ability to use a variety of gauges.\nDemonstrated ability to apply team problem solving techniques.\nProficient in Microsoft Office software.\nPreferred experience:\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt.\nExperience in APQP process and PPAP preparation.\nStrong Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge.\nExperience with direct customer contact in a quality role.\nRelated industry experience. \nWhat you'll focus on:\nParticipate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and teams. Ensure successful launch of new products and processes, process capability and control to meet customer requirements.\nParticipate cross-functional product trial review team to ensure products and processes meet applicable quality and productivity criteria.\nReview, and verify all quality supporting documentation, including PFD’s, FMEA’s and Control Plans.\nDevelop and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Work with related departments to design and develop new gauging processes or equipment.\nPerform production readiness evaluations, and report/identify recommended actions.\nAssist in developing and maintaining control of the quality management system, related communication, training, and documentation.\nPerform internal and supplier audits. Maintain auditing documentation. Train employees in auditing related methods or procedures as needed.\nPromote an environment of open communication and teamwork regarding quality.\nMaintain the customer complaint and internal nonconformance process, including work to ensure nonconformance quarantine areas are properly maintained.\nOversee the engineering change request process to ensure work is completed in a timely manner to adhere to the IATF standard.\nWhat Sets Our Internship Program Apart: Work on meaningful projects while receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that help launch your career.
