CharterUp has achieved this growth profitability and efficiently, ensuring long-term stability.\nTitle: Accounts Payable Escalations Lead\nReports to: Sr. Manager, Finance\nLocation: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid: Monday, Wednesday, Friday in-office)\nAbout the Role\nThe Accounts Payable (AP) Escalations Lead is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role requires strong finance skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. The AP Escalations Lead will also be responsible for streamlining processes, implementing best practices, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.\nResponsibilities\nAccounts Payable Operations:\nOversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor management.\nEnsure all invoices are processed accurately and timely, with proper coding and approval.\nManage the month-end and year-end closing processes for accounts payable.\nVendor Management:\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with vendors.\nHandle vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.\nNegotiate payment terms and manage vendor contracts.\nMonitor Treasury Balances and Cash Flow Projection:\nContinuously monitor treasury balances and maintain a comprehensive cash flow projection model.\nProvide timely notifications to upper management regarding potential cash needs and investment opportunities.\nDrive Process Innovation and Efficiency:\nLead efforts to streamline processes and enhance team efficiency through the implementation of automation tools such as Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions.\nManage Accounting and AP Inboxes:\nMaintain accounting and accounts payable inboxes, ensuring timely responses to vendor inquiries and requests.\nEnsure vendors receive timely payments and effective communication regarding invoice status and payment schedules.\nFinancial Reporting:\nPrepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics.\nAssist with financial audits and provide documentation as required.\nCollaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals.\nTechnology and Systems:\nOversee the use of accounts payable systems and software.\nWork with IT and other departments to implement system upgrades and enhancements.\nEnsure the accuracy and integrity of data within the accounts payable system.\nLeadership and Management:\nSupervise, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team.\nConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.\nEnsure the team meets all deadlines and performance standards.\nExperience and Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or management role.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.\nProficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\nExperience with automation tools such as Alteryx and Tableau is a plus.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nStrong leadership and team management abilities.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with ERP systems is a plus.\nCPA, preferred\nRecruiting Process\nStep 1 - Wonderlic Assessment (12 min)\nStep 2 - Video call: Talent Acquisition interview\nStep 3 - Video call: Interview with Finance Manager \nStep 4 - Video call: Final Interview with CFO\nStep 5 - Offer & background check\nWelcome aboard!\nSalary\n$65,000—$75,000 USD\nGlobal Benefits & Perks at CharterUP\nWe believe great people can live anywhere-and they deserve great benefits, too.
