We started with self-serve, and now we're moving upmarket and building our sales team. The next step is a BDR team, and we need the person who makes it great.\nAbout Chatbase\nChatbase is the AI agent platform that 10,000+ businesses use to talk to their customers, from fast-growing startups to global brands like Dolby, Roche, Pearson, Bridgestone and Chuck E. Cheese. Our agents resolve millions of conversations across support, sales and operations.\nWe launched in 2023 and we're profitable.\nWhy now\nThis is the moment. The product is working, customers keep finding new ways to use it, and we're growing fast. Most of our biggest growth levers haven't been pulled yet. The people who join now will build the teams, playbooks and products that make Chatbase many times bigger than it is today, and they'll share in that upside.\n→ Top-of-market pay, plus equity. We pay at the top end of the market, and everyone gets equity in a profitable company that's growing fast.\n→ Ownership from day one. Small team, huge surface area. You'll own big outcomes and work directly with our CEO.\n→ Early-stage upside. It's still early enough to get a lot of the upside, in a company that's already profitable.\nThe role\nYou'll hire, coach and lead our BDRs, and make outbound a predictable source of pipeline alongside our inbound. You'll report to Humphrey Su, our Head of GTM.\nWhat you'll own\n→ Hiring, ramping and coaching a team of BDRs.\n→ The outbound engine: targeting, messaging, cadences, tooling (Clay, CRM) and the metrics behind them.\n→ Making outbound a predictable source of pipeline next to our inbound.\n→ Working with our GTM engineering to automate everything that should be automated.\nYou might be a fit if\n→ You've been a top BDR and have since led or coached a team.\n→ You love the craft of outbound and the data behind it.\n→ You want to build the outbound playbook from scratch.\nHow we work\n→ High ownership, high output. Everyone owns outcomes end to end. We hire people who are precise, fast and great at unblocking themselves.\n→ Speed is a habit. We decide fast, ship fast and fix fast.\n→ Critical feedback is a gift. We give it directly and take it without ego. It's how we get better.\n→ Customer-obsessed. We talk to our customers constantly and relentlessly deliver value to them.\nWhat it takes\nWe work in person, five days a week, in downtown Toronto. We move fast and hold a high bar. If you want the steepest learning curve of your career and a stake in the outcome, you'll fit right in.\nPay & logistics\n→ Base salary: CAD $100,000-$135,000.\n→ Commission on top. On-target earnings: CAD $145,000-$195,000.\n→ Equity.\n→ Downtown Toronto, in person five days a week.\n→ This posting is for an existing vacancy.\n→ We don't use AI to screen, assess or select applicants. A person on our team reviews every application.\nHow we hire\nWe move fast.\n1. A 30-minute call with Humphrey Su, our Head of GTM.\n2. A short take-home based on real work you'd do here.\n3. 30 minutes with Yasser Elsaid, our CEO.\nA note from Yasser\nWe've built Chatbase with a small team, and it's working: 10,000+ businesses rely on it, and they keep finding new ways to use it. What we do in the next year decides how big this gets. The people who join now will own a piece of it and be paid well for it. If that's what you've been looking for, I'd love to meet you.\nYasser Elsaid, CEO","description_format":"text","description_chars":3428,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["AI Agents","Customer Support & Help Desk Software"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-27T07:15:48Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":1,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:1","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-29T05:49:05Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":139062,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/chatbase-bdr-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/chatbase-bdr-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-29T21:19:47Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":31616,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-30T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":674723},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=674723"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fchatbase-bdr-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fchatbase-bdr-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fchatbase-bdr-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/chatbase-bdr-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fchatbase-bdr-manager"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3319759}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"chatbase.co","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3319759},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
