enforcement, verification and documentation of adherence to the food safety and quality management system within the factory and production operations.\nWhat the Role Entails\nConduct and document verification checks on the effectiveness of the PRPs, OPRP’s and CCPs including but not limited to Factory hygiene, Allergens, Maintenance, Foreign objects, Pest control, Traceability, FIFO, GMPs, Measurement equipment and Chemical concentrations.\nConduct pre-shift and post-cleaning inspections.\nMonitor and enforce adherence to production processes, quality specifications and document completion.\nConduct shift start up and post cleaning inspections.\nConduct scheduled training for operational staff.\nConduct raw material and final product sampling and sensory evaluations.\nInitiate internal and supplier non-conformity reports, investigations and corrective actions\nConduct customer complaint investigations, feedback and verify corrective actions\nGeneral QA administrative duties.\nEnforcing Product on-hold procedures for non-conforming WIP and final product.\nEscalate quality and food safety risks to relevant supervisors and management.\nParticipate in R&D, QA, Engineering and Production trials.\nConduct final product positive release verifications and internal communications.\nSupport receiving clerks for accept/reject decisions.\nConduct Quality specific checks of raw materials and packaging.\nConduct and report on traceability challenges\nContribute in the execution of major QA projects.\nProvide on-the-line guidance and support to operations and cleaning teams to meet and exceed quality and food safety specifications.\nIdeal Competencies Of The Candidate\nBasic computer literacy\nCommunication Skills (Verbal and Written)\nDetail and result orientated\nAssertive\nSelf-assured but coachable\nReliable\nAbility to work well in teams\nGood organizational skills\nGood time management skills\nBasic report writing skill\nPreferred: Non-smoker (For the purpose of accurate sensory evaluation)\nPreferred Experience & Qualification\nGrade 12 Matric certificate\nAt least 6 months Quality controller experience in a
