\n\nWe are looking for a Principal Backend Engineer with strong Python experience and a proven track record of building and owning production backend systems. \n\nThis is a hands-on engineering role focused on: \n\nPython backend \n\nFastAPI \n\nData-heavy systems \n\nAI / LLM product features \n\nSystem architecture and scalability \n\nWe are looking for someone who can take ownership of a backend domain, make technical decisions, and build reliable systems from idea to production. \n\nWhat you will do \n\nDesign, build, deploy, and maintain core backend services using Python and FastAPI \n\nOwn backend architecture, data flows, and technical decisions in your domain \n\nBuild and scale data-intensive systems, integrations, and pipelines \n\nWork on AI / LLM-driven product features together with the engineering team \n\nImprove system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability \n\nContribute to engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, security, and code quality \n\nWork closely with product and engineering to deliver high-impact features \n\nWhat we are looking for \n\n7+ years of hands-on backend development experience \n\nStrong commercial experience with Python in production \n\nPython should be your primary backend language \n\nStrong experience with FastAPI, APIs, Docker, Git, and CI/CD \n\nExperience owning backend systems end-to-end: architecture, performance, data, reliability \n\nStrong knowledge of PostgreSQL and data-heavy systems \n\nExperience building distributed, scalable, or high-load systems \n\nGood understanding of system design and performance optimization \n\nAbility to work with ambiguity and take ownership without micromanagement \n\nHigh ownership, independence, and product mindset \n\nNice to have \n\nExperience integrating LLMs / AI into backend systems \n\nExperience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or AI assistants \n\nExperience with Kafka, Azure Event Hub, or other event-driven systems \n\nExperience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, especially Azure \n\nExperience building ETL / ELT pipelines \n\nExperience working with structured and unstructured data \n\nProduction observability, tracing, monitoring, and optimization experience \n\nThis role is likely a strong match for people who \n\nEnjoy owning backend systems end-to-end, not just implementing
