You'll lead a strategic engineering organization responsible for the platforms, infrastructure, and automation that power our software delivery lifecycle. You'll manage four Team Leaders and their engineering teams, driving innovation across CI/CD, Kubernetes, AWS, developer platforms, and cloud operations while enabling fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.\nThis is a leadership role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional people leadership and a passion for building high-performing engineering organizations.\nHow will you make an impact?\nLead, mentor, and develop 3 Team Leaders and their engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nDefine and execute the DevOps and Platform Engineering strategy supporting a large-scale SaaS cybersecurity platform.\nOwn the architecture, scalability, availability, security, and operational excellence of our cloud infrastructure and engineering platforms.\nDrive the evolution of modern CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platforms, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and developer self-service capabilities.\nPartner closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Architecture, and R&D leadership to accelerate software delivery while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability.\nLead cloud-native initiatives with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, automation, and platform standardization.\nEstablish engineering metrics, operational KPIs, SLOs, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.\nChampion DevSecOps best practices and embed security into every stage of the software delivery lifecycle.\nLead organizational planning, hiring, budgeting, prioritization, and execution while supporting the growth and development of future engineering leaders\nRequirements\nWhat is needed to succeed?\nRequired qualifications:\n8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.\n3+ years of experience managing multiple engineering teams or Team Leads.\nProven experience leading engineering organizations supporting large-scale SaaS products.\nDeep expertise with AWS (required), including designing, operating, and optimizing production cloud environments.\nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.\nExtensive experience designing and operating enterprise-grade CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD, GitLab CI, or similar technologies.\nStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.\nExperience building highly available, secure, and scalable production platforms.\nStrong understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, incident management, and platform reliability.\nExperience implementing DevSecOps practices and cloud security best practices.\nStrong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar).\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.\nA people-first leader with a passion for coaching leaders, empowering teams, and building a culture of engineering excellence.\nDesired qualifications:\nExperience in the cybersecurity industry or building platforms for security-focused SaaS products.\nExperience with GitOps and Argo CD.\nKnowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio.\nExperience with multi-cloud environments.\nFamiliarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.\nExperience leading globally distributed engineering organizations.\nWhat we have to offer\nCheckmarx offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, competitive compensation, great work-life balance, as well as great benefits and perks throughout the year.\nCheckmarx is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
