Operating as a trusted advisor and recruiting expert to Checkr leaders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our recruiting strategy, fostering strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, and leveraging data and analytics to enhance our hiring processes. Your expertise in technology, including the use of AI, and your experience in recruiting nationwide and within LATAM will be crucial in building our employer brand recognition and ensuring we attract top-tier talent. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and Head of People, you will be a key member of the People Leadership Team and lead a team of ~15 talent acquisition professionals.\nWhat you’ll do:\nLead and Scale the Talent Recruiting Function: Develop and lead a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with our business goals and scales with our growth. Ensure the recruiting function is efficient, effective, and capable of meeting hiring demands, by continuously improving our process and policies to align with industry best practices. Develop, mentor, and grow the team of talent acquisition professionals. \nCross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with leaders across the organization to understand their talent needs and raise the bar for talent acquisition. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to optimize recruiting efforts.\nBring Business Judgment to Recruiting Decisions: Apply strong commercial acumen to balance hiring speed, cost, and quality, and clearly connect recruiting investment to business outcomes.\nData-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to drive improvements in hiring velocity and quality of hire. Implement metrics and reporting systems to track progress and identify areas for enhancement.\nTechnology and AI Integration: Embrace a technology-forward approach by integrating AI and other innovative tools into the recruiting process. Continuously explore and implement new technologies to streamline operations and improve candidate experience.\nRecruiting in LATAM: Leverage your experience in recruiting within the LATAM region to expand our talent pool in Santiago, Chile. Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent in this key market.\nEmployer Brand Recognition: Build and enhance our employer brand to position the company as an employer of choice. Balance strategic planning with hands-on involvement in day-to-day recruiting activities to ensure successful implementation and outcomes.\nWhat you bring:\n\n12+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.\nProven track record of building and scaling recruiting teams, including experience overseeing both technical and non-technical recruiting functions, and holding those teams to clear, high standards of performance\nExperience in recruiting within LATAM and understanding of the regional talent landscape.\nExpertise in leveraging data and analytics and industry benchmarks to improve recruiting strategies and outcomes.\nExperience with leveraging AI and technology-driven recruiting tools and practices, as well as continued awareness of industry best practices and emerging trends.\nTrack record of leading structured, well-communicated process or program change, including sequencing roll-outs and aligning cross-functional stakeholders. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to drive business outcomes.\nPassion for developing and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.\nVendor management experience and strong negotiation skills required.\nAn A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.\nPay Transparency Disclosure\nWe use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
