This position will be available at the Washington Works Plant located in Parkersburg, WV and reports directly to the Sr. Value Stream Leader.\nThe Area Continuous Improvement Leader is a key site leadership role responsible for leveraging the Chemours Business System to enhance employee engagement, drive the acceleration of continuous improvement in operational excellence (including safety and environmental) as well as delivering strategic site initiatives across the site manufacturing value streams. This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement with a lean mindset and experience using, and leading, the tools, systems, and methodologies. The role partners closely with the Chemours Business System Team site leadership, cross-functional teams, other continuous improvement experts, and initiative owners to architect and execute improvement strategies, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and digitalization methodologies.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nUses Chemours Business System tools to adopt LEAN culture (leader standard work, managing systems, standard KPIs, 5S, etc.) and support LEAN process OD improvement activities.\n\nProvides focus/alignment within designated Area to ensure an adequate pipeline of initiatives to meet TCOM/competitiveness targets\n\nAcquires deep understanding of area profitability and collaboratively develops a 3-year improvement strategy by highlighting areas of opportunity and assessing resource limitations.\n\nInteracts with Capital project and prioritization stakeholders to prevent underfunding of strategy.\n\nIntegrates improvements with data analytics (interfacing with data scientist/SCRUM master teams), agile ways of working, and digitalization initiatives.\n\nSupports the Annual Site Profitability Review process.\n\nDrives the execution of the area improvement strategy, including ownership for the reporting of progress versus key milestones\n\nFacilitate ideation sessions for new area initiatives\n\nPartner with initiative owners to develop rigorous and well-defined project milestones and timelines\n\nProvides coordination and execution coaching to project teams\n\nLeads any needed Area Continuous Improvement stand up meetings and initiative monitoring\n\nMaintains expertise and provides consultation for area teams on dashboards (KPI metrics/datasets)\n\nMentors area personnel to grow Continuous Improvement culture\n\nThe following isrequiredfor this role:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, business or other related field\n\n5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with demonstrated leadership in process improvement and cross-functional initiative execution\n\nStrong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to extract and summarize key concepts and pertinent facts from various complex sources\n\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies\n\nBackground in data analytics integration, dashboarding, and digitalization of manufacturing processes\n\nExceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization\n\nThe following ispreferredfor this role:\nLean Practitioner certification\n\nBlack Belt Certification\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation\nComprehensive Benefits Packages\n401(k) Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nCommuter Benefits\nLearning and Development Opportunities\nStrong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives\nCompany-paid Volunteer Day\nWe’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
