This position will report directly to the Florida Dry Separations Manager and reside at our Highland Dry Mill Site.\nThe Dry Separations Area Manager oversees all production activities for our Highland dry mineral processing facilities operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week by providing safety and operational leadership to achieve business objectives. The Manager will manage the Highland Operations. The role is responsible for all aspects of mineral production from the dry mineral processing plant, heavy equipment, and associated process equipment. The Manager also works with maintenance personnel in maintaining the facility and oversees the activities of other operators as required. This position also closes the SAP accounting month, including production, consumption, shipments, and beginning and ending inventory for all Florida and Georgia operations.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\n· Act as a safety leader to ensure individual and team Safety remains top priority and identify and promote opportunities to improve safety performance.\n· Work closely with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) personnel targeting zero incidents and continuous improvement of plant EHS performance.\n· Supervise all Plant Operations personnel and build a ‘Team” spirit aligned with Chemours Core Values driven to exceed performance expectations.\n· Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment and report opportunities for improvement.\n· Review daily production plan and manage work assignments, attendance, and schedule coverage.\n· Monitor daily plant performance reports and communicate impact of performance issues.\n· Manage all operators, processes, equipment, safety, and housekeeping to achieve product quality and volume objectives.\n· Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed and recommend improvements to procedures.\n· Provide coaching, guidance, development, and honest feedback to improve supervisor skills and performance.\nThe following isrequired for this role:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED) and ability to read and write the English language.\nRequires people management skills including the ability to motivate and train.\nMust have a good reasoning skill and the ability to select and analyze appropriate data to allow good decision making.\nRegularly required to use hands, fingers, and feet in a coordinated effort to move levers and turn dials to safely operate and maintain plant equipment.\nFrequently ascends or descends ladders, stairs, elevated walkways, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.\nPerform heavy manual labor when needed such as moving equipment and supplies around the Plant area in different weather conditions and shoveling sand.\nMust be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods (4-6 hours)\nFrequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.\nPosition requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations.\nSpecific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.\nCapable of wearing personal protective equipment, such as hearing protectors and respirators, as necessary.\nAbility to read and interpret various plans and designs.\nThe following ispreferredfor this role:\n+1 year team management experience in an industrial or production related role.\nMechanical aptitude.\nAvailability to close the month in SAP on the last day of each month.\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation\nComprehensive Benefits Packages\n401(k) Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nCommuter Benefits\nLearning and Development Opportunities\nStrong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives\nCompany-paid Volunteer Days\nWe’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
