This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Washington Works Team. This position will report to the Maintenance Engineering & Reliability Manager.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nThis role serves as an Electrical Engineer for the Chemours Maintenance & Reliability Engineering Organization, and will be assigned to one of the Production Units at the Washington Works plant in Parkersburg, WV. Electrical Maintenance Engineers address short-term electrical & instrumentation issues in a timely manner to keep the production unit running. They also design and implement improvement projects up to $500,000. The Maintenance Engineer role is very hands-on, working closely with other Engineers, E&I Mechanics, Technicians, Contractors and OEM’s to optimize equipment condition and return failed equipment back to service \nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSupport high quality, efficient field execution of electrical Maintenance work\nDevelop Maintenance Job Plans, Procedures and Execution Standards\nLead troubleshooting and support Root Cause Analysis\nPossesses practical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical power distribution, motors, drives, and control system equipment\nCollaborates and works in teams with E&I Mechanics, Technicians, Operations and other Engineer disciplines as necessary\nCollaborates with other Maintenance and Reliability Engineers to improve Asset Care Systems, and Maintenance work execution/standardization across the site\nImplements Change of Designs (CODs) in the plant, to improve equipment design, refresh, and rebuild equipment\nWorks with OEMs to facilitate equipment repairs and improve availability of spare parts\nIdentifies opportunities for Maintenance training and skill development on Electrical Equipment & Instrumentation\nLead and assist as necessary with project commissioning and startup\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nIn order to be qualified for this role, youmust possess the following:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university\n1 year of Engineering experience (can include Co-op experience)\nDemonstrated knowledge of basic electrical & instrument engineering principles\nAbility to understand & interpret electrical equipment drawings and engineering standards\nDemonstrated skill to diagnose and solve technical problems - making data-based decisions\nAbility to work both independently and in a team environment\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nWilling and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc., and ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.\nStrong interpersonal skills and a “hands on”/shop-floor approach\nTroubleshooting experience\nThe following skill sets arepreferred by the business unit:\n4 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment\nFormal Root Cause Analysis experience\nExperience specifying and implementing valves and instrumentation including: flow, level, temperature, and pressure measurement\nElectrical systems design\nExperience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed-Control-Systems (DCS) equipment installation & programming\nInstrumentation configuration and setup\nIn our pursuit to be the greatest place to work, we know that a critical element to enhancing our employee experience is to assure we’re operating with a solid foundation of trust.
