This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager in our Louisville, KY location.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nProvides the technical expertise and team leadership on various matters of mechanical engineering for chemical process manufacturing.\nIdentifies, leads and drives improvements in the area of equipment maintenance including philosophies, strategies and best maintenance practices.\nMonitoring product and process performances as needed; assessing reliability of operations, identifying failures and causes of failures, and recommending solutions.\nSpecifying, and documenting technology parameters to insure the process is capable of delivering products at the level of the quality required by the final customer.\nRegarded as technical lead for area assignment and provides technical guidance to the business to enable strategic decisions.\nOwner of small capital projects for the site.\nRecommends, specifies and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls.\nApplies knowledge of PSM principles to own and team’s activities. \nIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:\nBachelor’s degree with a concentration in mechanical engineering\n6-12 years in industry supporting either a chemical manufacturing process or steam/power generation and distribution OR Military Equivalent Experience\nStrong background in root cause failure analysis\nStrong collaborative and leadership skills with a “hands on” attitude.\nThe following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:\nGreen Belt or Black Belt Certification\nExperience working in the chemicals industry\nExperience with process safety management and highly toxic materials\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation\nComprehensive Benefits Packages\n401(k) Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nCommuter Benefits\nLearning & Development opportunities\nStrong Inclusion & Diversity initiatives\nCompany-paid volunteer days\nWE’RE CHEMOURS.
