This position will be available at the Washington Works facility located in Parkersburg, West Virginia and report directly to the Power & Services Manufacturing Technology Manager.\nThis role will have engineering responsibilities as part of a broader engineering team for maintaining continuous operation of several site utilities, developing and implementing plans for utility capacity expansion, all supporting the area’s EHS, Cost & Reliability goals.\nThe Plant Utilities Engineer will specifically support the various site well-water production, distribution, and pre-treatment systems, as well as production and distribution of compressed air, and distribution of Nitrogen and Natural Gas utilities across the site. This position will monitor performance and generate documentation as necessary to support compliance with site regulations and permits (NPDES, Title V, etc), and serve as back-up support for other utilities systems including steam and demineralized water.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nAct as a lead Process Engineering resource.\nRecommends and implements solutions to drive continuous improvement.\nDesign and conduct process improvement tests in the plant\nLeads and participate in Capital Programs to upgrade and refurbish equipment.\nLead and participate in troubleshooting, as needed. \nLeads and participates in Incident Investigations.\nLeads and Participates in Process Hazards Analyses.\nTravel requirements are The following isrequired for this role:\nMinimum of a BS in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution\n5+ years of engineering experience in an Industrial Process.\nDemonstrated knowledge of typical equipment used in a Chemical Plant (i.e. pumps, compressors, piping, valves, boilers, etc.).\nSuperior Oral and Written skills.\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills.\nWilling and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.\nAwareness of OSHA 1910 (Process Safety Management).\nPermanent work status in the United States without immigration sponsorship\nThe following ispreferredfor this role:\nExperience with wells, well drilling & pumping\nExperience with air compressors, maintenance and rebuilding\nKnowledge of environmental monitoring equipment and instrumentation such as pH, flow measurement, total organic carbon analyzers, etc.\nKnowledge of Title V and NPDES regulation\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation\nComprehensive Benefits Packages\n401(k) Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nCommuter Benefits\nLearning and Development Opportunities\nStrong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives\nCompany-paid Volunteer Day\nWe’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
