This position will report directly to the Operations Manager in our Washington, WV location.\nThe primary responsibility of this role is to lead by influence and align operations to meet the business and operations objectives for the product lines of responsibility. Through their understanding of capabilities within the area, they will ensure continuous and efficient production in desired quantity and quality, and effectively manage maintenance work and shutdowns to support reliable operations. This role will routinely interface with business leadership and supply chain for coordination of objectives, opportunities, production needs, and understanding of customer needs.\nThis role will manage overall quality, resourcing, and scheduling of the assets assigned and continually work to improve the capabilities of the area and operation of the assets to meet business objectives. This role requires strong operations knowledge and work processes understanding as well as strong Business/Commercial understanding.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nEnsure safe and environmentally sound operation & maintenance of a high hazard process.\nAct as main Operations interface and point of contact with commercial and supply chain for coordination of production - Owner of the Operations/Business managing processes to align operations on top business priorities and accountable to develop and execute plan based on these priorities.\nProvides direction to the maintenance/technical teams in support of the business and serves as the point of contact for new growth capital requirements.\nAccountable for meeting Total Cost of Manufacture objectives (fixed and variable)\nChampions best practices, effective management of systems and tools and constantly drive continuous improvement toward increased operations effectiveness/efficiency. Adjust asset performance and priorities to reflect improvements as appropriate.\nRoutinely interacts with Operations Manager for asset performance.\nCreates an optimized asset schedule using SAP that considers production, maintenance, and service-to-operations needs.\nManages production beginning to end: raw material planning, production schedule adjustments, product lots classification, product re-sampling, final production release and priority for shipment out of warehouse.\nIntegrates Capital/Change of Design construction plan into asset schedule.\nInterfaces with maintenance and contract administration on work performed by site maintenance and contractors\nIn order to be qualified for this role, youmust possess the following:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or other technical field; OR minimum 7 years operations experience including prior supervisory experience\nStrong problem solving, troubleshooting, oral, and written communication skills\nDemonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse population of employees and contractors\nDemonstrated understanding of safety procedures and corporate safety philosophy\nDemonstrated capability to drive for results\nExperience with the SAP/R3 module in finance/cost management and Work Management Process (WMP)\nThe following skill sets arepreferredby the business unit:\nProcess Safety Management within HHP Operations, preferably in the chemicals industry\nPrevious line supervision experience in manufacturing\nExperience driving Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Agile framework to improving asset and production efficiencies.\nAchieved or willingness to achieve APICS Certification\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation\nComprehensive Benefits Packages\n401(k) Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nCommuter Benefits\nLearning and Development Opportunities\nStrong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives\nCompany-paid Volunteer Days\nChemours is an equal opportunity employer.
