This position is available at our New Johnsonville, TN location.\nThe Senior EHS Consultant (Safety) will be a part of an exciting opportunity to impact the company’s Safety compliance and performance programs. This EHS position provides leadership, technical support, guidance, program auditing and development, and assistance to maintain New Johnsonville Plant compliance with applicable Site, Corporate, State and Federal regulations, and requirements.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nProvide leadership, guidance, technical problem solving, training, improvement, and implementation support for safety of high hazard chemical operations.\nInterface with all site employees, contractors, corporate resources, regulatory agencies, unit operations, and be an active member of the site leadership team.\nWork to improve systems, procedures, processes, individual capability, and ownership around safety.\nParticipate and assist in preparation of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party safety audit programs.\nParticipate in/facilitate incident investigations as required.\nServe as the site subject matter expert, guardian, and trainer of site Safety How procedures related to Safe Work Practices.\nReview regulatory briefs when related to EHS and anticipate impact.\nServe as a key leader or support for Process Safety Management, Risk Management Plan, Responsible Care Management System (RCMS), Occupational Health, Distribution, Emergency Response, OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).\nDevelop/lead systems to manage special safety programs across the site.\nParticipate site reward and recognition programs.\nMaintain Metrics (leading/lagging).\nThe following isrequired for this role:\nBachelor's degree in an EHS (i.e. Safety Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, etc.) or engineering oriented discipline, and 10 years experience as a safety professional at a manufacturing or chemical facility\nKnowledge of high hazard chemical or process safety management regulated facilities\nIndustrial manufacturing knowledge/experience\nSound technical and regulatory based safety and process safety management knowledge, including knowledge of regulations, laws, and standards (specifically OSHA)\nAbility to anticipate, plan, develop, implement, audit, and improve sustainable systems and processes in the EHS field\nStrong problem solving and technical skills, with emphasis on safety\nEager to learn from, support, and coach all levels of the organization\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment as the situation requires\nAbility to network and work cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, Maintenance, and Training organizations\nStrong multi-task/organization skills\nExcellent computer skills (Microsoft office i.e. spreadsheets, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new technology.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nBe able to perform physical duties related to a work environment at a manufacturing facility.\nThe following ispreferred for this role:\n5+ years high hazard chemical process experience\nWork experience in Environmental, Health, Safety, Training, Distribution, and or Emergency Response safety related field\nHaving or being able to obtain the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation\nComprehensive Benefits Packages\n401(k) Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nCommuter Benefits\nLearning and Development Opportunities\nStrong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives\nCompany-paid Volunteer Days\nWe’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
