This is a hands-on developer role as an individual contributor.\nResponsibilities\nSolution Design and Rapid Prototyping \nMeet with stakeholders to understand their requirements for outputs, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI).\nTranslate requirements into a solution of architecture and design that can be taken to production.\nBuild rapid prototypes to validate concepts and gather user feedback early, then iterate toward a production-ready solution.\nBackend Development \nUse Python as the primary backend language.\nBuild and maintain robust, scalable web applications.\nDevelop RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Flask or Fast API.\nApply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles throughout development.\nFrontend Development\nBuild intuitive user interfaces using a modern frontend framework, such as Vue.js or React.\nUse TypeScript for frontend development.\nCI/CD and Cloud Deployment\nOwn and manage CI/CD pipelines on Azure.\nImplement and improve CI/CD processes to ensure efficient, reliable software delivery.\nHelp migrate legacy applications to modern cloud platforms.\nApplication Support and Enhancements \nSupport existing applications to keep them stable and performant, including code refactoring, bug fixes, and helpdesk support during US Eastern Time (ET) hours.\nImprove the support ticketing system (e.g., Jira) so it captures requests for upgrades, expansions, enhancements, and bug fixes to existing custom applications.\nBuild and execute a plan to resolve current and backlog issues.\nManage the change request process with IT stakeholders.\nKeep stakeholders in India, the US East Coast, and Europe proactively informed on status and progress toward resolution.\nSecurity and Architecture Reviews \nLead security and architecture reviews to obtain approval for production deployments and changes to existing applications.\nWork with IT stakeholders (Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Infrastructure) to explain and justify your proposed approach and incorporate their review of feedback into the solution.\nCollaboration\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Cyber, Architecture, and Data Engineering teams\nInnovation and Modernization \nBring a creative mindset to finding cost-effective solutions, such as verifiably secure open-source tools, for building new applications across the company.\nModernize legacy applications and processes, such as converting complex VBA macros and spreadsheets into maintainable yet cost-effective custom applications.\nIncorporate open-source libraries (e.g., operations research/optimization solvers, R&D and scientific analysis packages) to extend application capabilities.\nMinimum Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree in computer science and software engineering.\n4+ years of full-stack development experience, with deep expertise in Python + React is non-negotiable.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented programming.\nHands-on experience with at least one frontend framework (Vue.js or React).\nProficiency in TypeScript for frontend development.\nExperience building full-stack applications that include custom GenAI functionality (e.g., using Azure AI Foundry).\nExperience with Azure web services and CI/CD practices and tools.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills for working with team members and stakeholders in the US and Europe.\nAble to think flexibly, quickly learn new business and technical concepts, and apply a startup-style mindset to design innovative, efficient solutions for users\nAvailability to work approximately 5 hours overlapping with US Eastern Time zone each day (approx. 8:30 AM-1:00 PM US East Coast time), which often requires a later start and end time in India.\nDesired Additional Skills \nConfident using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code as developer tools, including know-how to optimize token usage when using these tools.\nAt Chemours, you will find sustainability in our vision, our business and your future.
