This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Washington Works Team. This position will report to the Maintenance Engineering Manager.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nThis role serves as an Electrical Engineer for the Chemours Central Maintenance Engineering Organization and will be assigned to one of the Production Units at the Washington Works plant in Parkersburg, WV. Electrical Maintenance Engineers address short-term electrical & instrumentation issues in a timely manner to keep the plant running. They also design and implement improvement projects up to $500,000.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSupport high quality, efficient field execution of electrical Maintenance work\nDevelop Job Plans, Procedures and Execution Standards\nLead troubleshooting and supports Root Cause Analysis for larger events\nPossesses deep practical knowledge of instrumentation, equipment and repairs\nCollaborate with E&I Mechanics, Operations and other engineers\nImproves work execution and standardization\nImplements smaller Change of Designs (CODs) in the plant\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university\n5 years of Engineering experience\nDemonstrated knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles\nDemonstrated skill to diagnose and solve technical problems - making data-based decisions.\nAbility to work both independently and in a team environment\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nWilling and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.\nStrong interpersonal skills and a “hands on” approach.\nTroubleshooting experience\nThe following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:\n8 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment\nRoot Cause Analysis experience\nExperience specifying and implementing valves and instrumentation including flow, temperature, and pressure measurements\nIn our pursuit to be the greatest place to work, we know that a critical element to enhancing our employee experience is to assure we’re operating with a solid foundation of trust.
