BNSM division requires an applications scientist to drive business growth of our Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Stylus and Optical Profilers and NanoIndentation Systems. The role is based in our UK headquarters in Coventry, UK with approximately 50% of time travelling in UK, sometimes in EMEA.\nPlease visit www.bruker.com.\nResponsibilities\nProvision of Applications Support for successful growth of the above product lines\nProduct demonstrations \nExecuting samples measurements to technically advance an opportunity \nProviding advanced technical support for the Bruker sales team in customer visits \nSupporting existing customers via applications support (email, phone, Teams, TeamViewer, visits) \nPresenting latest developments at academic & industrial conferences \nOperating instruments on booths at conferences and workshops \nRunning practical workshops at Bruker internal events (workshops, user meetings, etc...)\nPacking, getting instruments ready for shipment and installing systems for demonstration \nProviding advanced training for customers \nSharing best practice regarding instrument operation within Bruker global applications team \nManaging a demonstration laboratory. The successful candidate will work with the Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Division sales team based in the UK, and be fully integrated within the European Applications team.\nThe position reports to the EMEA Sales-Applications Manager with priorities also being set by the EMEA Sales Director.\n The position is based at our Coventry office. Travel in UK and Europe will account for approximately 50% of the time.\nQualifications\nHigher Degree in a Scientific Discipline, experience in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), NanoScale Characterisation is a plus.\nBSc or MSc using advanced Nanoscale or Optical Metrology an advantage\nCurrent valid driving licence \nFluent in English\nAccurate, literate and articulate, with good communication skills in English, written and spoken \nProof of oral presentations at scientific conferences is beneficial.\nExperience with Surface Profilers, Nano-IR and NanoIndentation Systems is beneficial. \nExperienced in use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, AI \nExperience demonstrating and training with scientific instrumentation in an academic or industrial environment is beneficial \nThis JDE cannot be exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key objectives.\nPersonal\nA friendly, accommodating and helpful disposition -
