We are currently seeking a

Senior Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Service team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with customers, provide expert technical support, and ensure the optimal performance of our analytical instrumentation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Install FT-IR, FT-NIR, Raman systems, and related accessories at customer sites, ensuring full functionality in accordance with specifications.
  • Perform repair and maintenance activities on products at customer locations.
  • Train customers in the operation of equipment, including software usage and calibration modeling.
  • Obtain customer acceptance and sign-off for installations and repair activities.
  • Act as an effective communication link between the customer and the company, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out preventive and periodic maintenance activities at customer sites in accordance with service contract requirements.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers via phone and other communication channels to identify potential service needs and opportunities for additional support.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to products and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of field service activities, products sold, and services provided.
  • Support the networking of analytical instruments, including the implementation of optional software solutions and integration into existing laboratory information systems.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Alternatively, an equivalent level of knowledge and expertise gained through relevant practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing analytical instruments, scientific instruments, electromechanical equipment, and/or electronic systems.
  • Strong technical expertise in analytical instrumentation.
  • Excellent customer focus, with the ability to respond effectively to inquiries and build positive customer relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong networking, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with FT-IR spectroscopy, NIR, Raman technology, Remote Sensing, Microscopy, and laboratory environments is considered an advantage.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time.
