We are seeking a Territory Account Manager (TAM) to drive growth across North, East Midlands England and Scotland. This field-based role involves building strong relationships with NHS and clinical laboratory customers, developing new business opportunities, and managing a structured pipeline to deliver against commercial targets across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Financial goals:
  • Deliver annual sales targets and manage territory forecast
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and contribute to forecasting processes
  • Territory management:
  • Develop and execute a structured territory plan focused on new opportunity creation and account growth
  • Maintain clear visibility of account status, pipeline progression and next steps
  • Account management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratory stakeholders, clinicians, procurement teams, Managed Service Contract (MSC) providers and operational leads
  • Work cross-functionally (Applications, Service, Customer Support) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Maintain detailed account knowledge including revenue trends, contractual status, competition and customer buying intentions, ensuring proactive identification of opportunities and risks
  • Opportunity management:
  • Identify, qualify and actively progress opportunities towards decision and close
  • Drive consistent movement from initial engagement through active sales stages to contract award
  • Generate and develop opportunities through direct marketing, conference participation, exhibitions, events and customer visits
  • Expand presence into new accounts, building a sustainable pipeline
  • Maintain a structured and regularly updated pipeline with clearly qualified opportunities, realistic timelines and defined next steps
  • Value proposition:
  • Understand and demonstrate the unique value proposition of Bruker MDx solutions, aligning capabilities to specific customer needs, clinical workflows and operational priorities
  • Present, promote and demonstrate the value of the MDx portfolio to laboratory and clinical stakeholders
  • Deliver seminars, presentations and product evaluations aligned to customer needs
  • Tender, framework and proposal management:
  • Coordinate and deliver the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals in line with NHS requirements and deadlines
  • Ensure submissions are timely, accurate and compliant
  • Negotiation and close:
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favourable outcomes
  • Drive closure of opportunities in line with agreed timelines
  • Reporting:
  • Deliver consistent forecast accuracy
  • Maintain high-quality sales reporting including opportunity stages, values and timelines
  • Execution:
  • Execute tasks and customer follow-up within agreed timelines, with proactive escalation of risks or delays
  • Market intelligence & feedback:
  • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics
  • Provide structured feedback to internal stakeholders to support strategy and product development

This role has responsibilities for the full Bruker MDx portfolio - Hain Lifescience and ELITech MDx products and will therefore require an understanding of and alignment with the processes of each entit

Qualifications

  • BSc (or equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; postgraduate experience in diagnostics or healthcare is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial or customer-facing role with responsibility for delivering against defined targets
  • Proven sales or account management experience, including managing opportunities and progressing deals through a structured sales cycle
  • Experience building and maintaining a robust pipeline and delivering sustained revenue growth
  • Strong experience developing and growing customer relationships within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience operating within NHS or comparable public sector healthcare environments, including procurement processes and tender-based purchasing, is highly advantageous
  • Experience in diagnostics, life sciences, or healthcare is essential; molecular diagnostics and/or sequencing experience is strongly desirable
  • Experience contributing to or leading tender submissions within structured procurement frameworks
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue or consumables-based business models is advantageous
  • Good awareness of competitive products, positioning, and market dynamics
  • Strong personal drive, accountability, and results-oriented mindset, with a track record of delivery
  • High standards of work, with a structured, disciplined, and consistent approach to execution
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to corporate compliance
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) for pipeline management, activity tracking, and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
