Our culture is performance-driven, team-oriented, and focused on doing the job right while providing long-term career opportunities.\nSummary: \nUnder the direction of the Payroll Operations Manager, the Accounting Technician- Payroll is responsible for supporting full-cycle payroll processing for multiple companies within a multi-state, multi-entity environment. This role performs payroll processing, validation, and record maintenance activities to ensure employees are paid accurately and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Payroll specific training will be provided for anyone who has the minimum qualifications.\n\nWork Location: \n3000 C St, Ste 301, Anchorage, AK 99503.\nResponsibilities\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nCompile and validate payroll data including hours worked, earnings, taxes, deductions, benefits, and union dues.\nPrepare payroll input and enter data into payroll systems for multiple companies and states.\nReview payroll calculations and correct errors to ensure accuracy.\nMaintain employee payroll records, including tax elections, direct deposit, benefits, and garnishments.\nAssist in processing payrolls, including off-cycle and manual payments.\nSupport payroll reporting activities including earnings, taxes, and deductions.\nAssist with preparation of payroll liability payments.\nMaintain payroll documentation in accordance with company policies.\nRespond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.\nProvide support to payroll team members and assist with cross-functional requests.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nTwo years of experience in an HR or Finance position such as payroll, collections, accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable or accounts receivable.)\nMust be able to articulate Excel experience and give examples.)\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nList of preferred qualifications which include education/experience/certifications/clearances (quantifiable)\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nStrong attention to detail and data accuracy.\nAbility to work with payroll systems and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.\nAbility to follow established processes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee
