The ASG will respond to emergencies, enforce government regulations, and conduct crowd, parking, and traffic control, inspections, and perimeter and internal access control. TheASG does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers. The ASG is armed with a side arm, shotgun, or other weapons as required. Japanese Translator experience or EMT-B certification preferred.\nResponsibilities\nRequired to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner. \nWill arrive at work in proper uniform and carrying needed, issued equipment \nWill be required to exercise force up to and including deadly force. \nRequired to operate effectively in a foreign nation environment, sensitive to cultural differences. \nWill participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions. \nWill carry out general and special orders for post assigned \nWill communicate via radio, telephone, and orally according to orders \nRequired to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel. \nWill provide access control, traffic control, and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions \nWill be responsible for the cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned. \nWill follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations about security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment \nWill conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection \nMust be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays. \nOther duties as assigned \nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required. \nMust be at least 21 years of age. \nActive Secret clearance required\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, military police, force protection, corrections, or a related protective services field. \nMust be able to qualify and maintain certification on assigned weapons systems, including a 9mm sidearm and other weapons as required by the contract. \nHonorably discharged from military service, if applicable. \nMust successfully pass all required background investigations, drug screening, medical evaluations, psychological assessments, and training requirements. \nMust be able to meet and maintain all site-specific licensing, certification, credentialing, and security clearance requirements. \nValid driver's license with a clean driving record required. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain an Armed Security Guard license if required by the location. \nMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions, prepare reports, and communicate effectively. \nMust have no felony convictions and no disqualifying criminal history that would prevent employment in an armed security position. \nMust satisfy all federal, state, local, and contractual requirements for armed security personnel. \nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior military police, security forces, law enforcement, or armed security experience. \nEmergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) certification. \nJapanese language skills or experience working in an overseas environment. \nExperience supporting government or Department of Defense contracts. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nKnowledge of security operations, access control procedures, patrol techniques, and incident response practices. \nAbility to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful or emergency situations. \nStrong observation skills and attention to detail. \nEffective verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to prepare clear and accurate reports. \nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. \nAbility to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability. \nAbility to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. \nAbility to safely handle and operate firearms and other security equipment. \nPhysical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
