This position is responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, property, and assets through access control operations, security patrols, inspections, and enforcement of established security procedures.\nThe ideal candidate is a disciplined security professional with strong observational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to public safety. This role offers the opportunity to support critical government operations while contributing to the protection of federal personnel, resources, and infrastructure.\n\nResponsibilities\nCommunicate effectively via radio, telephone, and in-person interactions.\n\nProvide professional interaction and escort services for government personnel, visitors, contractors, and the public.\n\nPerform access control and traffic control functions in accordance with established procedures.\n\nConduct walking and motorized patrols to identify security concerns and unauthorized activities.\n\nEnforce applicable security regulations, post orders, and standard operating procedures.\n\nProtect government personnel, facilities, equipment, property, and resources.\n\nConduct personnel, vehicle, building, and facility inspections.\n\nPerform package and parcel inspections as required.\n\nMonitor assigned areas for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security risks.\n\nComplete reports, logs, and required documentation accurately and timely.\n\nSupport emergency response and incident management activities.\n\nWork flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n\nPossess and maintain Armed Security Guard certification through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).\n\nPossess an active Secret Clearance.\n\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\n\nCertified in the use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.\n\nCertified in the use of batons.\n\nMinimum of one (1) year of experience with a civilian police agency, military police organization, security force, or related security organization.\n\nPossess and maintain current CPR certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent approved provider.\n\nMust successfully meet Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer, including:\n\n1.5-mile run completed within 17 minutes and 30 seconds.\n\n19 push-ups completed within two minutes.\n\nMust successfully complete and pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, or a related field.\n\nExperience supporting Department of Defense or federal government security operations.\n\nMilitary police, armed security, or law enforcement experience.\n\nExperience working in controlled-access or high-security environments.\n\nAdditional certifications in First Aid, emergency response, or security operations.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nKnowledge of physical security operations, access control procedures, and force protection principles.\n\nStrong observation, communication, and decision-making skills.\n\nAbility to prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation.\n\nAbility to follow post orders, standard operating procedures, and government regulations.\n\nAbility to interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\n\nAbility to operate computers, radios, vehicles, and standard office equipment.\n\nAbility to identify and respond appropriately to security concerns and emergencies.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nCommitment to professionalism, accountability, and mission success.\n\nEstimated Salary/Wage\nUSD
