Will document and maintain procedures and practices; support manufacturing management staff as indicated; and responsible for establishing and meeting daily goals.\nResponsibilities\nCreate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM’S) and routers.\nDocument all BOM and routers changes using Manufacturing Change Request forms.\nInitiate and maintain Estimate Requests (e.g., acquires estimates from applicable manufacturing departments) and bid packages for approved manufacturing.\nEnter new part numbers in the inventory management system item master as required.\nPrimary backup of a Plans and Scheduling Tech and is able to perform all duties.\nCreate and maintain work instructions as directed.\nAssist with the sourcing of materials and vendors to support engineering updates to products and bids.\nMaintain assigned workplace, materials and equipment in a safe, secure and neat condition.\nWork cooperatively and constructively with subordinates, supervisors, vendors, customers and general public to promote and achieve the most cost-effective and ethical goals of the company. \nBecome familiar with and comply with CIS Standard Operating Procedures, ISO Personnel Policies and Procedures, Affirmative Action Plan, and the systems, procedures and equipment applicable to the incumbent’s work assignment. \nBring to the attention of his/her supervisor any incidents, conditions and/or other matters which may inhibit the cost-effective and ethical performance of the incumbent’s work assignment or which could adversely affect the Company’s business and/or reputation.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nMinimum five (5) plus years’ experience in manufacturing or related production experience performing similar duties.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening.\nGovernment contracting experience, preferred.\nExperienced in manufacturing software (MRP) or (SAP)\nExperience with reading and understanding technical drawings and Bills of Material\nFamiliar or experienced in ISO9000 QMS or equivalent quality system.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAbility to read and understand technical drawings and Bills of Material\nBasic reading, visual inspection, and basic math skills\nBasic computer skills to include data entry and familiarization with the Microsoft Suite\nPhysical Demands\n(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
