Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.\nTheData Engineer builds data pipelines and integrates sources for use in dashboards, analytics, and compliance reporting. The Data Engineer ensures data is secured through testing, implementation, design, and monitoring.\nResponsibilities\nManage and coordinate with internal or external parties the collection, compilation, normalization, and standard analysis of data assets across diverse projects and data platforms.\nDevelop, maintain, evaluate, and test valuates data solutions within an organization. \nDevelop and execute plans, policies, and practices that control, protect, deliver, and enhance the value and integrity of the organization's data and information assets and programs. \nCollect, store, process, and analyze raw and/or complex data from multiple sources, recommend ways to apply the data, choose and design optimal data solutions, and build data processing systems, using expertise in data warehousing solutions and working with the latest database technologies. \nInvestigate data quality problems, conduct analysis to determine root causes of problems, correct errors, and develop prototypes, process improvement plans across all programs, and proof of concepts for the selected solutions. \nProcess unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis, followed by doing the analysis. \nIntegrate innovations and algorithms into the organization's data systems, working closely with engineering team. \nImplement complex data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms. \nEstablish security protocols to protect all data collected and used by the organization.\nEnsuring the compliance of policy, processes, and procedures throughout the day-to-day management of the organization.\nAssist in managing data needs and supporting collection of data needed for various operational needs\nData analysis, problem solving, investigation and creative thinking with massive amount of data supporting variety of operational scenarios and responsible for source code control\nCreate and Maintain data ingestion and transformations within Vantage and Gabriel Nimbus\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or business-related programs required. \n4+ years of experience in building data pipelines, data transformation and integrating sources for use in dashboards, AI/ML, analytics, and compliance reporting\nMust have Real ID prior to start\nMust have active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3+ years’ experience supporting DoD or federal programs is highly desirable.\nData Analytic or Engineering Certifications\n3+ years’ experience with Vantage or Gaberiel Nimbus \nExperience with utilizing logs, scans and sensor data\nCybersecurity certifications like CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are desired.\nBaseline and Full Computing Environment Certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (Security+ certification) desired.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nExperience in Python, SQL required\nExperience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, etc. and migrating customers/projects to the cloud\nExperience working in Unix/Linux environment\nExperience with NoSQL database\nExperience with utilizing API for data sources\nExperience with transforming JSON\nExperience working in cloud infrastructures\nMust have high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and possess advanced skills and knowledge in programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook\nMust have understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and\nhybrid cloud environments\nKnowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Development tools (CI/CD).\nExperience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and/or BI tools like Power BI or Business Objects (BO) and data analysis tools.\nExperience extracting, transforming, and structuring data to support both exploratory analytics and operational reporting.\nUse knowledge of data visualization tools to deliver information that allows client users to quickly understand data, ask better questions, and take action.\nPossess knowledge and experience with data analysis and data technical expertise in data management, engineering, and science.\nSkillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.\nAbility to work both independently and within a team.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nAbility
