Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.\nThe Data Visualization Engineer will play a key role in transforming complex datasets into clear, compelling, and actionable visual narratives. The Data Visualization Engineer will develop interactive dashboards and visual tools primarily using Foundry, Power BI, or Gaberiel Nimbus dashboards to help stakeholders uncover insights, drive decisions, and communicate the value of data.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in support of cybersecurity, risk management, and mission performance tracking.\nCreate, maintain, and revise existing data visualizations, including interactive dashboards, reports, graphs, and graphics. \nTroubleshoot and debug front- and back-end data ingestion processes. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design, and deploy solutions and enhancements that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and end users. \nDesign data visualizations that analyze data from various internal and external sources. \nResearch, evaluate, and implement new tools, models, and processes to optimize efficiency, reliability, and usability of data visualizations.\nCollaborate with data engineers and cybersecurity analysts to extract and normalize data from multiple sources, including eMASS, VRO, and network sensors.\nEnable real-time situational awareness through role-based visualizations that support leadership decision-making and operational readiness.\nOptimize dashboard performance and usability across various platforms and security domains.\nMaintain familiarity with other visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI) as required for integration or cross-functional needs.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required with 7+ years of related experience OR\nBachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or business-related programs required with 2+ years of experience\n3+ years of Power BI development experience in dashboard creation, data visualization, and reporting developmentMust have experience in designing, developing, and configuring data visualizations for different types of users.\n\nMust have active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.\nCybersecurity certifications like CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are desired.\n5+ years’ experience supporting DoD or federal programs is highly desirable.\nMS Power BI Certification or Data Analytics Certification is desired\n3+ years’ experience with Vantage or Gaberiel Nimbus is highly desirable. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nProven expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools; Foundry Contour or Quiver experience a plus.\nStrong knowledge of DAX, SQL, or equivalent query languages\nExperience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML)\nKnowledge of cybersecurity and risk management metrics preferred \nExperience working in cloud infrastructures\nMust have high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and possess advanced skills and knowledge in programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook\nMust have an understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and hybrid cloud environments\nExperience extracting, transforming, and structuring data to support both exploratory analytics and operational reporting.\nStrong creative and visual storytelling skills with an eye for design, usability, and user experience.\nUse expert knowledge of data visualization tools to deliver information that allows client users to quickly understand data, ask better questions, and take action.\nPossess knowledge and experience with data analysis and data technical expertise in data management, engineering, and science.\nOrganizational Skills: Masterful time management capability to juggle multiple high-priority tasks, deadlines, and tracking systems independently.\nMobility & Schedule:\nAbility to work non-standard hours (nights, weekends, holidays) in support of active operations, as required.\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time.\n\nHow you’ll grow\nAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
