This position is responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, monitoring security and life safety systems, coordinating response efforts, and providing timely communication to emergency personnel and external agencies.\nThe Dispatcher operates within a fast-paced environment that requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm during high-pressure situations. This role supports the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and visitors through effective emergency communications and incident management.\nResponsibilities\nReceive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls in accordance with established procedures. \nMonitor security and life safety systems, including alarms, radio communications, and CCTV systems. \nCoordinate and communicate with emergency responders, security personnel, and outside agencies during incidents and emergencies. \nUtilize emergency notification systems and communication platforms to disseminate emergency information when authorized. \nMaintain accurate and detailed incident documentation, including chronological records of events and dispatch activities. \nComplete daily dispatch logs, activity reports, and other required records. \nMonitor multiple communication channels simultaneously and respond appropriately to changing situations. \nProvide timely and professional customer service to callers, employees, and emergency responders. \nSupport emergency preparedness and continuity operations during severe weather events, natural disasters, and other emergency situations. \nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED. \nMinimum of one (1) year of dispatch, emergency communications, public safety, security, or related experience. \nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. \nProficiency with computer systems, data entry, and communication equipment. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful or emergency situations. \nAbility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.\nAPCO Certification\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious 911, public safety, emergency communications, law enforcement, military, or security dispatch experience. \nEmergency Service Telecommunicator certification. \nCPR and First Aid certification. \nExperience using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, CCTV monitoring platforms, and emergency notification systems. \nFamiliarity with NCIC, Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway (OHLEG), or similar law enforcement databases. \nFEMA Incident Command System (ICS) training, including ICS-100 and IS-700 certifications. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nKnowledge of dispatch operations, emergency response procedures, and communication protocols. \nAbility to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple communication channels simultaneously. \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail. \nAbility to maintain confidential and sensitive information. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business systems. \nEffective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. \nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. \nStrong recordkeeping and report-writing abilities.\nEstimated Salary/Wage\nUSD
