In this role, you will coordinate emergency and non-emergency communications, monitor security and life-safety systems, and support first responders during critical incidents.\nAs the first point of contact during emergencies, the Dispatcher plays a key role in protecting people, facilities, and mission-critical operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can remain calm under pressure, and is committed to delivering exceptional service and support.\nResponsibilities\nReceive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for service. \nCoordinate communications between security personnel, law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, and other response agencies. \nOperate emergency communication systems, including 911 emergency lines and Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) systems. \nMonitor and relay critical information to emergency responders in a timely and accurate manner. \nMaintain situational awareness during incidents and support incident response efforts through effective communication and coordination. \nContinuously monitor security and life-safety systems, including: \nFire and intrusion alarm systems \nAccess control systems \nClosed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems \nVoice recording systems \nTwo-way radio networks \nCriminal Justice Information System (CJIS) terminals \nCalifornia Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) \nIdentify and respond appropriately to alarms, system alerts, and unusual activities. \nEscalate incidents in accordance with established procedures and emergency response protocols. \nRespond and remain available during declared emergencies and mission-critical events. \nParticipate in training, drills, and emergency preparedness exercises. \nAssist with special projects and administrative assignments as needed. \nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nAbility High school diploma or GED required. \nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (not required to start). \nAbility to successfully complete and maintain the following certifications: \nPOST Basic Dispatch Academy \nCalifornia Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) \nICS-100 \nICS-200 \nNIMS/IS-700 \nFirst Aid/CPR or BLS Certification \nNFPA 1061 Public Safety Telecommunicator requirements \nApplicable NFPA 1221 communications systems requirements \nAbility to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to support operations. \nAbility to report for duty during emergencies and remain operational during extended incidents. \nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nOne (1) or more years of public safety, emergency communications, 911 dispatch, law enforcement, fire service, military, or security dispatch experience. \nExperience operating multi-line telephone systems, radio communications systems, CCTV platforms, or alarm monitoring systems. \nExperience working in a command center, emergency communications center, security operations center, or similar environment. \nAssociate degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Communications, Public Safety, or a related field. \n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to remain calm, professional, and effective in stressful or emergency situations. \nStrong multitasking and decision-making skills. \nExcellent verbal communication, active listening, and customer service abilities. \nAbility to gather, analyze, and relay information quickly and accurately. \nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills. \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with emergency responders and security personnel. \nKnowledge of emergency response procedures, incident command principles, and dispatch protocols. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. \nAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.\nEstimated
