CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.\nChenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to serve as a senior technical leader responsible for architecting, developing, and advancing enterprise capabilities on the ServiceNow platform.\nThe ServiceNow Developer will design and implement scalable platform solutions that leverage automation, predictive analytics, and workflow orchestration to enhance operational efficiency and mission performance. The position works closely with architects, engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate complex operational requirements into modern digital workflows and automated service capabilities.\nIn addition to hands-on development, the role will lead a team of developers. The Lead ServiceNow Developer ensures all development complies with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and platform governance standards. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives) and provide accurate technical estimates. support platform innovation initiatives The Lead ServiceNow Developer will mentor junior developers, collaborate across engineering teams, and serve as the senior escalation point for complex technical challenges.\nResponsibilities\nLead hands-on development within the ServiceNow platform including client scripts, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, data policies, workflow automation, Flow Designer, Integration Hub spokes, Script Includes, catalog items, Service Portal widgets, UI pages, and event/alert rules.\nDesign and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems, monitoring tools, and operational platforms using REST, SOAP, APIs, and integration frameworks.\nCoordinate with team working AI Initiatives to support predictive operations, automated incident/case response, and intelligent service management.\nCollaborate with platform architects and engineering teams to integrate machine learning services, analytics platforms, and intelligent decision engines into ServiceNow workflows.\nDevelop solutions that leverage ServiceNow features and automation capabilities to enhance operational awareness, reduce manual intervention, and improve service delivery efficiency.\nSupport initiatives involving data-driven insights, predictive service monitoring, and intelligent operational dashboards.\nEnsure all development activities adhere to enterprise architecture, cybersecurity requirements, and platform governance standards.\nWork closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to analyze requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\nProvide technical estimates and solution designs to support product roadmap planning and program execution.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent and relevant experience:8+ years of experience in ServiceNow Platform development\n3+ years of experience in ITSM development\nExperience in Agile development practices\n\nServiceNow CSA CertificationCertified Technical Architect (CTA) is preferred \n\nActive Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI/CI poly\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field\nExperience supporting enterprise IT modernization initiatives within federal or defense environments\nExperience with enterprise integration technologies including REST APIs, microservices, and automation frameworks\nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise IT environments\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting\nMust be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment\nDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals\nFriendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.\nExcellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications\nProficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.\nAbility to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.\nGood problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it\nHow you’ll grow\nAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
