{"id":1274530,"url":"https://alion.io/job/chenega-maintenance-engineering-technician","title":"Maintenance Engineering Technician","company":{"id":2131546,"name":"Chenega","domain":"chenega.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/chenega","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"iCIMS","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"senior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Arden Hills, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":null,"max":30,"currency":"USD","period":"hour","gross":null,"usd_annual":60000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":5,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Excel","optional":false},{"name":"Outlook","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-26T01:01:17Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-26","last_verified_at":"2026-09-30T11:46:39Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":null,"days_open":6,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":6},"description":"Overview\nCHENEGA BASE & LOGISITICS SERVICES, LLC\nArden Hill, MN\nThe Maintenance Engineering Technician IV will be responsible for performing routine building preventative and corrective maintenance tasks at multiple facilities within a given area of operation in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and plumbing).\nResponsibilities\nFacility inspections and checklists\nMonitor physical and functional condition of building envelope, and mechanical/electrical systems and address deficiencies as required.\nReview and update physical real property inventory of facility equipment.\nPromote energy conservation and awareness.\nDevelop tasks and requirements list and order of cost magnitude estimates for Sustainment, Revitalization, and Maintenance (SRM) requirements above the service order limit.\nConduct site visits to facilities to answer service calls, service orders and to perform required Preventative Maintenance services according to PM Schedule and in accordance with established standards.\nPerform minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.\nPerform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.)\nPrepare surfaces and paint various structures and equipment (e.g., walls, floors, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g., sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.)\nMonitor and inspect life safety, physical security, and fire prevention requirements and address deficiencies as required.\nReview and update databases, computer programs, and physical inventories as required to maintain information current.\nRespond to all information requests.\nAttend Project Review Boards as requested.\nDocumentation, Checklists, and Reports\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nMinimum five (5) years’ experience servicing and/or renovating commercial buildings, including the maintenance and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.\nPossess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nProficiency using personal computer and internet service, word processing, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint\nAbility to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI), in accordance with AR 380-67.\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.\nFamiliar with the various codes and standards applicable to operations and maintenance tasks, and installed equipment systems such as, NFPA, EPA, and OSHA.\nPhysical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
