The Maintenance Technician I receives initialinstructions, equipment requirements, and advice from a supervisor in addition to performing recurring work.This Technician will work on the fleet maintenance team supporting our Department of Defense customers. This work includes the repair, fabrication, manufacture, rebuilding, assembly overhaul, modification, refurbishment, rebuilding, test, analysis, repair-process design, in-service engineering, upgrade, painting, and disposal of parts, assemblies, subassemblies, components, or end items that require shop facilities, tooling, support equipment, and/or personnel of higher technical skills and knowledge of processes beyond the average level of capability.\nResponsibilities\nTrack equipment Work Orders using CMMS software\nPerform services on and repair hydraulic systems \nPerform fabrication using hydraulic sheer, brake, hydraulic presses, and basic hand tools.\nInspect, repair, and replace braking and suspension systems found on vehicles and trailers.\nPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs on a wide variety of Material Handling Equipment\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent1+ years of relevant experience is preferred\n\nPossess a valid driver’s license and maintain it for the contract duration\nInterim Secret clearance\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nMechanical aptitude and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.\nFlexibility, versatility, willingness to learn and grow, drive, and strong work ethic\nEagerness to learn new skills needed to become an effective multi-craft Technician\nProper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment.\nAbility to maintain a driver's license.\nAbility to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques.\nPhysically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back. \nAbility to obtain and maintain required training and certifications.\nAbility to use computers to search for and generate information using Microsoft Office.\nAbility to travel 20-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.\nAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.\nHow you’ll grow\nAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
