This role is responsible for overseeing security operations during assigned shifts, leading a team of supervisors and security officers, and ensuring contract performance requirements are consistently achieved.\nReporting to the Site Supervisor/Captain, the Lieutenant serves as the second-in-command for site operations and acts on behalf of site leadership when required. This position exercises independent judgment in managing shift operations, directing supervisory staff, resolving personnel and operational issues, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and delivering exceptional service to the customer.\nResponsibilities\nLead and manage shift operations to ensure contractual requirements, operational objectives, and customer expectations are met. \nServe as the senior on-duty leader for assigned shifts and assume Site Manager responsibilities in their absence. \nDirect the activities of Shift Supervisors, Sergeants, and Security Officers to maintain operational effectiveness and workforce readiness. \nExercise independent judgment to resolve operational, staffing, and employee relations issues that arise during assigned shifts. \nMonitor overall shift performance and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies and improve service delivery. \nEnsure personnel understand and comply with post orders, standard operating procedures, customer policies, and security requirements. \nOversee shift staffing and workforce deployment to maintain uninterrupted operational coverage. \nAssign work, establish priorities, and provide daily guidance to supervisory personnel and security officers. \nParticipate in employee performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and developmental feedback. \nRecommend personnel actions, including hiring, promotions, disciplinary measures, performance improvement plans, and employee recognition. \nMonitor employee attendance, scheduling trends, overtime utilization, and workforce effectiveness. \nFoster a positive work environment focused on accountability, professionalism, and employee engagement. \nConduct operational inspections and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with contract requirements and organizational standards. \nReview reports, logs, incident documentation, and operational records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. \nEvaluate site procedures and recommend improvements to leadership. \nEnsure all security personnel maintain required certifications, qualifications, and training requirements. \nMonitor adherence to safety standards and operational procedures. \nRespond to emergencies, security incidents, workplace disruptions, and other situations requiring supervisory intervention. \nDirect incident response efforts and ensure appropriate notifications are made to customer and company leadership. \nConduct preliminary investigations and gather facts related to operational incidents, accidents, complaints, and performance issues. \nDevelop recommendations and corrective actions based on incident findings. \nEnsure major incidents are properly documented and reported in accordance with established procedures. \nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nAssociate's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Business Administration, or Public Administration\nMinimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in security operations, law enforcement, military operations, or protective services \nMinimum two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably overseeing supervisors or team leads. \nExperience managing personnel, operational resources, scheduling, and workforce performance. \nGraduate of a federal, state, local law enforcement academy or military/security training academy. \nMust be at least 21 years of age.\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field. \nPrior experience serving as a Lieutenant, Watch Commander, Shift Commander, or Operations Supervisor.\nExperience managing contract security operations within a federal, critical infrastructure, healthcare, or government environment. \nKnowledge of physical security systems, access control technologies, and security operations centers.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nDemonstrated leadership ability with experience directing supervisors and frontline personnel. \nStrong personnel management, coaching, and employee development skills. \nKnowledge of security operations, incident management, emergency response, and physical security principles. \nAbility to exercise independent judgment and make timely operational decisions in dynamic environments. \nStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. \nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. \nAbility to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and contractual requirements. \nExperience managing multiple priorities and competing operational demands. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. \nAbility to prepare professional reports, incident documentation, and operational briefings. \nStrong organizational skills and attention to
