This position plays an important role in protecting government personnel, facilities, and assets through access control, visitor management, surveillance monitoring, and security screening activities that support mission readiness and operational security.\nThe ideal candidate is observant, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role offers the opportunity to support critical government operations, interact with a diverse workforce, and contribute directly to the protection of personnel, property, and facilities. \nResponsibilities\nThis position is On-call.\nControl access to facilities, personnel, property, and restricted areas in accordance with established security procedures. \nMonitor personnel entry and exit activities to ensure compliance with access control requirements. \nSupport visitor management and screening operations. \nMonitor security alarms and emergency notification systems. \nMonitor and observe Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and report suspicious activity. \nConduct security screenings utilizing hand-held screening devices and walk-through metal detectors. \nMaintain situational awareness and identify potential security concerns. \nReport security violations, suspicious behavior, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures. \nSupport force protection and physical security initiatives. \nProvide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel. \nSupport emergency response activities as directed. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nMinimum of one (1) year of experience performing similar unarmed security work. \nHigh School Diploma or GED required. \nAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English and apply written rules, instructions, procedures, and training materials. \nAbility to work flexible schedules based on operational requirements. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting Department of Defense or federal government facilities. \nExperience performing access control, visitor management, or security screening duties. \nExperience monitoring CCTV systems and alarm systems. \nPrior military, law enforcement, or security experience. \nExperience working in a customer service-oriented environment. \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nKnowledge of physical security principles and force protection practices. \nKnowledge of access control procedures, visitor management, and facility security operations. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook. \nAbility to monitor security systems and identify potential threats or security concerns. \nStrong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to communicate effectively with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel. \nAbility to remain calm and professional during emergencies and stressful situations. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to security compliance. \nAbility to follow policies, procedures, and operational requirements. \nCommitment to professionalism, customer service, and mission success.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3366,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":1,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"high_school","optional":false},"security_clearance":true,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-26T01:01:17Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":20,"reasons":["conf:40","velocity","win:early","comp:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-28T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/chenega-unarmed-security-guard","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/chenega-unarmed-security-guard.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-29T02:52:49Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2543,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":2457,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-30T00:00:00Z"}}}
