The position also supports project-based work involving website enhancement, content migration, integration, automation, testing, and continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities\nPlan, design, develop, test, implement, and manage Internet, Intranet, Wiki, social media, and web application activities.\nDevelop new code and modify existing code to support web and digital services requirements.\nSupport Drupal content management system implementation, migration, integration, customization, and ongoing maintenance.\nImplement custom content types, permissions, modules, and related Drupal functionality as directed.\nSupport HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, jQuery, and related web technologies in application and website development.\nCoordinate source control, class libraries, and project artifacts using approved tools and processes.\nConfer with end users and stakeholders to analyze requirements, identify issues, and document specifications.\nPerform testing, analyze results, correct defects, and support implementation of approved changes.\nSupport web usability, site architecture, navigation, knowledge management, and information delivery practices.\nHelp ensure websites and applications comply with WCAG, Section 508, accessibility, and related web standards.\nSupport integration of web applications with data sources, reports, and backend systems.\nAssist with web content strategy, website enhancement, SEO-related improvements, and digital communications support.\nProvide input to technical documentation, user guides, workflows, training materials, and project reporting.\nSupport project-based tasks involving website enhancement, CMS migration, integration, automation, testing, and operational improvement.\nProvide OIT with expertise and support to create and distribute content that achieves transparency and the delivery of mission-oriented information. \nDesign, test, implement and maintain complex web applications using Oracle Application Express or other web-enabled technologies, including tasks such as data modeling, web, and PL/SQL programming, Phyton, implementing user authentication and authorization schemes with LDAP, ADFS, OAuth2, or SAML2 integration, requirements analysis, and documentation\nCollaborate with business lines to design, maintain, create new information and innovate; create and update information on the Internet and Intranet websites.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nAssociate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3+ years of experience in web design and development.\n3+ years of experience and proficiency in Drupal, HTML5, CSS2/3, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and jQuery.\nAbility to obtain Public Trust\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAcquia Drupal certifications are encouraged.\nExperience with Drupal module installation, permission management, and custom content type configuration.\nExperience supporting Agile Scrum, waterfall, or rapid application development methodologies.\nExperience integrating web applications with backend systems, reports, or databases.\nExperience working with application developers to integrate web applications and improve user experience.\nFamiliarity with broadcast notifications, analytics, and digital communication strategy support.\nKnowledge of U.S. copyright laws and use of copyrighted digital content in public-facing environments.\nRelevant Drupal, web development, accessibility, or digital services certifications are preferred.\nAbility to obtain and maintain required government suitability or clearance, if applicable.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nWorking knowledge of Node.js, Git, Chrome, Jenkins, and SEO marketing techniques.\nExperience planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and managing websites and related web activities.\nFamiliarity with implementing, migrating, and integrating content management systems, specifically Drupal.\nKnowledge of Internet security principles and protocols, usability concepts, site architecture, knowledge management, and information delivery systems.\nExperience using graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Gimp.\nFamiliarity with testing websites and applications for WCAG and Section 508 compliance.\nKnowledge of accessibility requirements, web-based accessibility technologies, and related legal or regulatory considerations.\nAbility to support project-based work, testing, documentation, and implementation activities.\nKnowledge of web design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance practices.\nKnowledge of Drupal CMS, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, jQuery, and related web technologies.\nKnowledge of accessibility standards, WCAG, Section 508, usability, and site architecture principles.\nKnowledge of source control, CI/CD support tools, and web content management practices.\nSkill in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting websites and web applications.\nSkill in preparing technical documentation, web content guidance, and project materials.\nAbility to manage multiple operational and project-based web tasks.\nAbility to communicate effectively with business users, technical teams, and management.\nExperience using common graphic design tools including Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator and Gimp. \nKnowledge of standards of user experience design and experience working with application developers to integrate web applications a plus. \nMust be familiar with testing and ensuring applications and websites adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and Section 508 compliance. \nKnowledge of current Web-based application and accessibility technologies, U.S. copyright laws, accessibility factors including those specified in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (as amended in 1998) to advise on the appropriate use of copyrighted material and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.\nHow you’ll grow\nAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
