The Senior Analyst position is responsible for working with the business community and IT project teams to collect, clarify, and document business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. This position is also responsible for supporting other peripheral applications and interfaces used to supplement Engineering & Design applications. This role is an active thought partner and application visionary that helps to shape the technology demand among the business community.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES\nWork with the business user community providing excellent user support for Operations and Maintenance & Engineering and Design applications and related business processes with a strong understanding in power generation environments.\nGather and analyze business requirements, prepare workflow diagrams, and develop functional design documents.\nExecute and implement solutions as per the business requirement with the deployment of new and enhanced functionality and business flow.\nInvestigate and resolve complex problems through research and functional analysis.\nProvide continual assessment and review of unit testing and integration plans to ensure the solutions meet the business needs and are working as designed.\nPartner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements into technical requirements.\nAnalyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications.\nDocument user manuals describing application installation and operating procedures.\nWork with technical team in reviewing technical specifications and translating technical issues/requests in a manner that can be understood by the business users, and vice versa.\nKeep the applications current with appropriate patches/upgrades.\nReview change management procedures and follow methodology for moving functional set-up/configuration into production.\nCreate and work with vendors in gathering documentation required for Security Risk assessments.\nAssists and Monitor budget pertaining to annual software maintenance costs and new license purchases.\nThe duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee as needed.\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. \nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. \nExcellent communication skills, written and verbal.\nStrong organizational, presentation and report writing skills. \nAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a team. \nExperience troubleshooting technical/functional issues. \nFunctional, analytical and some technical abilities sufficient for the support, maintenance and configuration of operations and maintenance applications. \nAbility to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements \nStrong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements \nDemonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications. \nAbility to interact effortlessly with business/user community to determine and document functional/technical requirements. \nDocumentation of Meeting Minutes, Business Workflows and Requirements, Functional Design Specifications, and Use Cases for user acceptance testing. \nStrong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams on common issues, ability to multitask, appropriately manage the priorities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. \nFlexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding of new software and functionalities. \nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nEducation and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study.\nExperience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience with application implementation, administration and support, including experience supporting applications used in power generation plant environments. Must have full life-cycle experience with all aspects of Enterprise application setup, testing, user training, and production support. Maximo technical support experience, with an emphasis on work management and supply chain, is a plus.\nRequired technical experience with applications used to support power generation plant operations:\nJ5/Hexagon/Octave Electronic Logbook technical support experience with an emphasis on IndustraForm development, report development, and Python programming. \nPermit to Work applications or eLOTO systems such Red Tag Pro.\nAutodesk application suite; including but not limited to AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault. \nIntergraph/Octave applications:PlantState Integrity \nSmart Instrumentation \nSmartplant Review \nSmart 3D\n\nProficiency in SQL query/scripting. \nKnowledgeable in REST APIs and Web services. \nDIRECT REPORTS\nNone\nFREEDOM TO ACT\nAbility to multi-task and function in a highly dynamic atmosphere; must exercise discretion independently.\nWORK CONDITIONS\nJob is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.\nMust be available to work onsite daily\nOften exposed to stressful situations.\nOccasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends.\nParticipate in On-call shift rotations for afterhours application support.\nPeriodically travel as business requires.\nSubject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.\n\nADA JOB REQUIREMENTS\nReasonable accommodations will be made to ensure that the essential functions of the job can be performed and not hinder the employee's performance due to physical, mental or emotional disability.\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nCheniere Energy is an equal opportunity workplace.
