We are looking for an engineer who can support our construction projects and also help with other operational work as the business grows.\n\nThis is an office-based role with regular site visits. Roughly half of your time will be on construction projects (estimating, drawings, documentation and site supervision). The other half will be on our internal business systems: testing software, documenting processes, and helping our teams adopt new tools. We are looking for someone who wants both.\n\nYou will be trusted with real responsibility from early on, and you will be expected to deliver on time and report honestly.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Prepare quantity take-offs and bills of quantities from drawings.\n\n- Source materials and subcontractors, collect quotations, and compare prices against the market.\n\n- Prepare cost estimates and support tender submissions.\n\n- Prepare and update drawings in AutoCAD.\n\n- Supervise work on site and check that it follows drawings, specifications and good practice.\n\n- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, with photos and records.\n\n- Support project documentation, variation orders and progress claims.\n\n- Test and document internal business software, write procedures, and help colleagues adopt new tools and processes.\n\n- Learn new tools and methods as the business develops.\n\nAdvantages\n\n- Experience in interior fit-out and renovation work.\n\n- Experience with 3D modelling or BIM tools (SketchUp, Revit).\n\n- Experience preparing tender documents.\n\n- Experience with project management or ERP software.\n\nHow we work\n\n- Every morning you post the day's plan. Every evening you report what was done and what was not.\n\n- Everything of consequence is written down. Verbal answers do not close items.\n\n- A fast \"I am stuck on this\" is worth more to us than a slow \"I sorted it out\".\nJob RequirementsRequirements\n\n- Bachelor's degree in engineering. Civil preferred; electrical, mechanical or sanitary also considered.\n\n- 2-3 years of experience in QS, site supervision or construction project support.\n\n- Proficient in AutoCAD.\n\n- Able to measure quantities from drawings and build a basic estimate.\n\n- Knows what good practice looks like on a construction site (quality, safety, workmanship).\n\n- Knows how to source materials and check market prices in Cambodia.\n\n- Good spoken and written English and Khmer.\n\n- Comfortable with office software and open to learning new tools. Our company uses LibreOffice, and we encourage the use of AI tools to help with work.\n\n- Dependable: delivers on time and communicates early when plans change.\n\n- Transparent: reports clearly what was done and what was not, and learns from mistakes.\n\n- Willing to spend about half of your time on non-construction work.\n\n- Willing to learn new things.\n\nHiring process\n\n1.
