Every year CHEO helps more than 500,000 children and youth from Eastern Ontario, western Quebec, Nunavut and Northern Ontario.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nWork collaboratively with physicians, patients, families and inter-professional teams\nProvide comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, diagnosis, consultation, intervention, and counseling to both inpatients and outpatients seen in Development and Rehabilitation, including the Rehabilitation and Neuromuscular teams\nComplete neuropsychological/diagnostic assessments as part of the inter-professional Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Diagnostic Clinic team\nProvide consultation and short-term intervention to children/youth seen for neuropsychological assessment\nLiaise with other health professionals within the hospital with regard to neuropsychological assessment findings and recommendations, and their implications for the management of the child/youth. \nProvide supervision/training to pre-doctoral psychology interns.\nProvide supervision to psychometrists assisting in the provision of neuropsychological services.\nParticipate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nPh.D. with a focus in clinical neuropsychology (clinical psychology with extensive specialization in neuropsychology) from an accredited clinical psychology program (Essential)\nRegistration or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (Essential)\nDeclared area of competence in clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychology working with children and adolescents (Essential) \nTwo years of related experience in a paediatric health-care setting (Preferred)\nExperience working with rehabilitation inpatients and outpatients (Preferred)\nSupervision experience (Preferred)\nDemonstrated experience with the administration and interpretation of comprehensive neuropsychological assessments in a paediatric population (Essential)\nDemonstrated experience with intervention and counseling with inpatients (Preferred)\nDemonstrated knowledge about neuropsychological profiles associated with various complex medical/surgical conditions and FASD (Essential) \nAbility to work with an inter-professional team (Essential)\nBilingualism (French/English) (Preferred)\nVulnerable Sector Check (Level 3) (Essential) \nTimeline may be extended or shortened based on operational needs.\n*Please note you will be represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
