Loader Operators play a critical role in maintaininga consistent supply of materials to support continuous plant operations and loading trucks as required.\nEssential Job Functions\nOperate front-end loaders and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.\nLoad raw materials into hoppers, feeders, bins, and storage areas according to production requirements.\nLoad customer and company trucks with raw materials while ensuring proper material type and load quantity.\nMove materials from stockpiles to processing areas within the mixing plant.\nMaintain a steady supply of raw materials to support uninterrupted plant operations.\nConduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.\nGrease mobile equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance as required.\nFuel mobile equipment using proper fueling procedures and designated fuel sources.\nAssistwith manual material handling tasks, including shoveling raw materials and cleaning material buildup as needed.\nHandle hammer mill materials and other production materials weighing up to 50 pounds; team lifting or mechanical assistancemay be utilizedfor heavier loads.\nMaintain accuraterecords of material movement, equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and production documentation.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area within the Mixing Plant.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support production and operational needs.\nPhysical Requirements\nSitting for extended periods of time while operating mobile equipment.\nFrequent climbing on and off mobile equipment.\nFrequent turning, twisting, and rotating the neck and upper body to monitorsurroundings, stockpiles, equipment, truck loading operations, and material placement while operating equipment.\nOccasional standing and walking throughout the work area.\nOccasional bending, stooping, reaching, and shoveling.\nLifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nTeam lifting or mechanical assistancemay be utilizedfor heavier loads.\nClimbing stairs and ladders as needed.\nRepetitive hand, arm, and foot movements while operating equipment controls.\nAbility to work in environments with elevated temperatures.\nWork Environment\nIndustrial manufacturing environment.\nExposure todust, heat, and noise.\nExposure to moving mechanical equipment.\nRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to read, write, and understand written instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.\nBasic mechanical aptitude.\nAbility to perform routine equipment inspections, fueling, greasing, and preventative maintenance activities.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.\nAbility to maintainattention to safety and quality standards.\nEducation and Experience\nPreviousexperience operatingfront-end loaders, heavy equipment, or similar equipment preferred.\nSchedule\nDay Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM\nNight Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM\nMay be requiredto work weekends or holidays based on production needs.\nNight shift employees may be requiredto work Fridays, as needed\nOvertime may be requiredbased on production demands.\nStart times may vary depending on department, assignment, or location.\nSafety Requirements\nMust follow all company safety policies and procedures.\nMust complete and pass all required safety training.\nMust wear required PPE while performing job duties.\nMust immediatelyreport unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries.\nMust participatein safety meetings.\nEssential Functions and Reasonable Accommodation\nCherokee Brick & Tile Company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance withthe Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
