This is not a retail pharmacy floor. There's no walk-in traffic and no register - your day is spent on accurate, high-volume order entry that directly supports resident safety in long-term care. You'll work closely with our pharmacists in a modern, automated dispensing environment as part of a small, close-knit team where accuracy and ownership are noticed and valued.

Location: Wilmington, DE (New Castle County) - on-site, full-time
What You'll Do
Order Entry & Accuracy
- Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system to support the medication dispensing process.
- Calculate and verify correct medication dosages against prescriber orders.
- Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date resident records.
- Check completeness and precision of all new orders prior to pharmacist verification.
Clinical Support & Communication
- Provide dispensing pharmacists with critical information on allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other system-generated alerts.
- Prioritize and triage requests from facility staff based on urgency and required information.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists to support a safe, efficient dispensing process.
- Deliver responsive, professional service to facility and nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume data entry.
- Prior experience in a long-term care, healthcare, or high-volume transactional data entry role preferred; retail pharmacy background not required.
- Comfortable learning pharmacy management systems (training provided).
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with pharmacists, nurses, and facility staff.
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required. PTCB certification a plus, not required.
