The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for researching, interpreting and applying technical data to the task at hand. This position is responsible for safe and efficient scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Chevron Aircraft associated with transportation for offshore oil and gas production.\nResponsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:\nActively supports Health, Environmental and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies; carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner; following safe operating practices; maintaining safe working environment; supports ongoing initiatives that include safety training, compliance reviews, near miss incidents, investigations / reporting emergency preparedness, spill reporting / response.\nSupports Operational Excellence in all aspects of the aviation operation.\nPerforms aircraft structural repairs as related to sheet metal and composite structures.\nEfficient performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting. Performs aircraft inspections in accordance with Company and governmental approved inspection programs.\nPerforms approved repairs and overhauls on aircraft and associated components.\nMaintains aircraft ground equipment, fuel handling and facility maintenance.\nObserves Company safety rules, regulations and consistently practices good housekeeping. Reports or corrects and unsafe condition and practices.\nAssists in the coordination of aircraft availability through communications with the Head Aircraft Mechanic and the dispatcher.\nCommunicates effectively with pilots, supervisors, peers and others.\nCompletes other duties as need by management.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMinimum of three (3) years recent experience in aircraft maintenance.\nMust hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification for a minimum of three years.\nValid driver’s license.\nTroubleshooting, problem solving and organizational skills.\nAbility to work in a team environment to the highest Chevron Safety and FAA standards.\nGeneral Computer skills to include Microsoft windows-based programs and experience in maintenance data entry and retrieval.\nAbility to successfully complete post-offer/preplacement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and functional capacity examination.\nAbility and willingness to work in outdoor environments in different types of weather conditions.\nAbility and willingness to work rotational work schedules (7 & 7) and twelve-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTwo years of experience on the following aircraft.\no Leonardo AW109\no Leonardo AB/AW139\no Sikorsky S92\nRelocation Options:\nRelocation will not be considered.\nInternational Considerations:\nExpatriate assignments will not be considered.\nChevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.\nU.S. Regulatory notice:\nChevron is an Equal Opportunity employer.
