Focuses on the interaction of fluids with equipment in meeting required compositional specifications, physical conditions, and flow rates.\nTakes ownership of assigned units and work, building technical depth and independence with guidance and mentoring from experienced engineers.\nResponsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:\nProvide process troubleshooting support for assigned units, make technical recommendations, answer technical inquiries, improve process engineering tools, and develop process procedures.\nCarry out reliability and hazard analysis studies, and support larger team-led studies, to improve plant safety, reliability, and economics.\nIdentify gaps between current performance and best-in-class and recommend opportunities for improvement.\nPlan and conduct test runs to optimize process variables and evaluate plant performance.\nProvide technical recommendations and engineering support during planned unit turnarounds, taking ownership of assigned work scopes. This work may entail work at heights and confined space entry.\nWorks in collaboration with specialists and engineers of other disciplines.\nNetwork with subject matter experts in other facilities to leverage shared expertise.\nProvide requested technical advice and recommendations to project teams within the required time frames.\nInfluence and improve work processes within assigned areas of responsibility.\nIndividual schedules may require flexibility to respond to refinery upsets during off-hours.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering required, preferably chemical engineering.\n0-3 years of relevant process engineering experience, including internships or co-ops, supporting refinery operations or in process design.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCoursework, internship/co-op, or project experience in one or more of the following refinery process technologies: Distillation, Hydro processing/Hydrocracking, Hydrogen Manufacturing, Naphtha Reforming, Sulfur Recovery, FCC, Alkylation, Amine treating or Sour Water processing\nInternship, co-op, or other relevant experience in a refinery, chemical plant, or other process industry setting\nRelocation Options:\nRelocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.\nInternational Considerations:\nExpatriate assignments will not be considered.\nChevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.\nRegulatory Disclosure for US Positions\nThe compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law.
